I once again went for The Longhorn Salmon with sides of a Loaded Baked Potato and The Steakhouse Mac-n-Cheese.
All good no complaints, the plating showed some quick drop and go but the cook was probably tired at this point.
Wife had The 12oz. Ribeye with sides of, Salad with Ranch(she loves their Ranch Dressing) and The Steakhouse Mac-n-Cheese.
All good, but she feels as if the steak was a little fatty for the cut but we'll flavored and tender. I thought her salad wasn't very green, but she enjoyed still. All in all with drink (tea and coke) was about fifty two dollars, and nice ten in tip. $62
Will gladly return.
Went back been about seven more times or so, wife changed steak to de'expesive one and this last one was way too fatty and my Salmon orders have several times missed the bourbon making assured I mentioned, "The Longhorn Salmon, having the the bourbon and rice".
03-24-19. ** My wife's salad was a very slight green and mostly white, I should have snapped it to post, but I did my Salmon to no question. Not giving up, the Salmon was cooked through and the rice was a perfect dente just missed the splash.
After this we spoke and we should had just drove to a small gourmet bistro in Jefferson for the price we paid. It is worth the trip.
Did I send the Salmon back? Absolutely not, nor will I ever. I was extremely disappointed, just repeatedly let down on this one. They were busy mind and waitress was the least attentive, sorry Madison if it wasn't your day, but maybe another line of work is better suited in the future.
Till next time. Well, it's been several times actually, since I can not trust Olive Garden to get it right.
I must say, after it's been a little more than five visits back and just hunting for another dollar, time, and mind setback, I have been pleased. Just a couple potatoes not quit done and just one Salmon being a tad dry I'm once again very happy with Longhorn.
We had company with us Saturday in which we had met and stayed for about four hours, before leaving to Dallas. They usually tend to Roadhouse but they asked us where to eat, they had steaks; Longhorn T-bones, and one Ribeye, I have noticed that the Ribeyes tend to have heavy marbling of fat, beyond the normal in store or good butcher pick, but other than that no complaints.
We'll stay for awhile, thanks Longhorn.
From the month of July 2019 EXCELLENT! Mr. Russell made our experience as if we were guest in his own house....well, that's how I felt about it. The broccoli is seasoned with a light snap of herb and citrus, in which may very well become a regular order with Salmon. It was my wife that convinced me to try it again(broccoli) and it works. She usually has steak as does my son.
I'm finding we are eating there more often, spending slightly more money than others but it's not been disappointing, so it's truly worth the expense and walk out smiling. They are becoming a strong team with great leadership that if it changes may very well loose us as customers. Food is a joy, sometimes it's the only joy they may have that day.
Thanks, not to just Mr. Russell, but everybody that took part in what's left of our family.
12/27/2021 They are hitting right constantly.
Wish the Salmon had more of the claimed bourbon, but it has been cooked so I'm keeping my mouth shut on that. The Spicy Chicken is normally a starter but my goodness I really like to just eat it by itself some days. On occasion with the company I'm with get a steak with excessive fat or an occasionally too much gristle but cooked as ordered.
The next time they offer steak knives, I'm ordering some, it seems as though it is hard to find a decent knife anymore. The cooks are good, and the waitstaff are awesome having more character than your napkin. It's been fun and a pleasure but sometimes a wait in which is still worth...
Read moreWOW…..I am beyond speechless to the point I had to ask the waitress is it customary to not clear the appetizer plates prior to serving the main course. In my almost 30 years of attending restaurants to provide corporate reviews I am at a sincere loss for words. I highly recommend that this establishment retrains their staff in customer service. The only pleasurable moment was the greater who sat us at our booth. A few items to note:
The appetizer was wrong, informed the waitress however, she didn’t offer a replacement.
Refill of water asked for, never received.
When I politely asked if there was a change in the serving process regarding the clearing of appetizers when putting the main course on the table, I was informed “I didn’t know you were finished” despite us placing the plates on the opposite side of the tables, napkins on top.
These are just a few items to mention of my visit. I kindly asked for to go containers as I had to put a stop to the bleeding. I didn’t touch my main dish nor did I finish my cocktail, I asked for the check. As requested, she brought what I asked for and at no time was there an apology for an obvious bad experience. Paid the full amount and left a note to inform the staff and leadership that you never know who is patronizing your establishment so be mindful of the service you provide. I have a few more establishments to visit but, this restaurant is at the top of my list of where...
Read moreCalled ahead while we were driving almost 2 hours to eat here. Hostess's reply "um idk.. it'll be LIKE 45 min but maybe like 2 hours..." then huffed as I proceeded to ask to be placed on the wait list. (We were only 30 minutes away when we called)
When we arrived and waited our turn we were going to be placed at a 4-5 top table with extra chairs pulled up. (0 room to enjoy our meal) 2nd hostess saw and immediately stopped the first hostess while pulling an additional table together for our party of 7 adults.
Service was excellent!! Very prompt she caught all things needed prior to being asked. The absolute BEST part of our meal was our server. We made sure to tip her according to her wonderful service!!
(Food runner was not very polite and borderline had our plates tucked UNDER her arm as she carried them out... could definitely use some training on how to carry more than 2 plates out without giving the feel of it being in your arm pit- we however did not deduct from our servers tip for the hostess nor the food runner)
Food was ok, but definitely not the best. I love Longhorn and have been to all that are near NE Texas. Steaks were not cooked to perfection as usual this time: medium Ribeye was more of a rare/medium rare and a medium Filet was more of a medium well, lobster was slightly undercooked. Shrimp add on and the rice were all cold (this could have been due to the 1 WD steak that was ordered, but still should have...
