Tombstone Miners Cabins — Hotel in Tombstone

Overall, we liked the cabins for our one night stay. Super location and parking. This would be a five star rating from us.....except. This a booking and stay experience like AirBNB. Totally online, no physical interaction with the staff/owners. I thought the email communication was a bit over the top, I received no less than 10 emails from them regarding the booking, confirmation, door code, reminders, security deposit, etc....NOT counting the email I sent due to the issue we had. The issue...we arrived late afternoon around 5 pm, dropped our luggage and went a couple blocks to grab a drink and food (the kitchens in Tombstone close EARLY, fyi) and when we got back to the room we noticed that the TV screen was cracked. I sent an email to make sure my security deposit was safe, and to my surprise, they assured me they already knew the TV was broken, had ordered another, and it would be installed in the next few days. OK. The problem I saw with this was they knew the TV was broken, didn't tell us in any of the MANY emails prior to our arrival, and then didn't offer any sort of comp, not even off the RESORT FEE (?!). I don't expect a free stay, but at least SOMETHING beyond a dismissive, aloof half apology via email. Again, it's a nice place, given the location, this just left a bit of a smear on the experience we had.

VERY clean rooms, we booked the pet friendly #6, though we didn't have pets (due to availability) and you cannot tell this is a pet friendly room. The decor is charming, and though some complain about the beds being hard, we had no complaints. Didn't need the Wi-Fi as we had full cell signal. There is a zip-line directly behind the cabins that I can see being a noise issue during busy times during the day, but we had no complaints, they were closing by the time we arrived. The rear deck is nice enough, and there's a small area out front of #6 with a picnic table.

I stayed at the Miners Cabins for several nights and really enjoyed it. It is one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. I had to call them to modify my stay so that I could stay an extra night and they were able to do everything right over the phone in a few minutes. It was the easiest part of modifying my trip and their phone system is fun to listen to! They sent rules and instructions to access my room during my stay so that I didn’t even have to interact with anyone to check in or out. I just came and went within the timeframe of my stay so there was no hassle. I did leave a message after my arrival to let them know I was there but I’m pretty sure it was unnecessary. The main attractions of Tombstone is just a short walk down the street so it’s easy to come and go as needed. The cabin was clean and so cute! I loved the way it was decorated and themed. It has a great little porch on the back to sit and enjoy. It also came with a microwave and mini fridge with a small freezer attached that made it nice to store food and drinks. This place is a HIDDEN GEM for sure! The owners have taking so much of themselves and the western theme to heart and made these cabins definitely a home. Our stay here was very pleasant and enjoyable especially the sunsets on the balcony, Beds were so comfy, cabin was by far the white glove test immaculate! Everything in place, very specific western feel details, everything you want when being close to everything! Your own parking in front, easy to get to, very close within walking distance of tombstone. I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Registration/booking and check in was so easy and the owners very welcoming, very responsive, so friendly and I would highly recommend these cabins!
