I want to share my experiences from a couple years ago because Southwest Powerwear and owner Stealth have impacted me for life:
A trip I expected to be super quick turned into an all afternoon/evening affair. Because that’s how it goes when you tap into a vibration that just flows & grows effortlessly. It’s intoxicating. The first shop I walked into, I stayed for 2 hours. I met Stealth, who makes gorgeous leather goods, sells locally-made native flutes, & is a flutist himself. He encouraged me to play my way through the wall of flutes, set me up with a mic + amp, & let me have my time with each piece. The chills I got from each one—I cannot explain. Wow. Some may not know that I played the flute & piccolo for many years, but I haven’t practiced in quite a while. I’ve come to really vibe with the native flutes, I actually have a small one at home that my grandmother graciously gifted to me. Even after years of performing, I still get stage fright. But today in Stealth’s shop, with people floating by & stopping in to listen, I felt both grounded & light. I was seen & heard in a way I was ready for. I felt so free & connected to the instruments, the frequencies, the people, the town. And that’s basically the way the whole day went. Every person I met, the energy just rocked & rolled. Our conversations were full of life & synchronicity. No over-explaining, no barriers in our communication, we just got each other. Can you imagine? I left after dark, fully floating, & wishing I could call my mom to tell her about my day. But she already knows, I felt her there. Needless to say, my flute found me today & I can’t wait to share her magic. Stealth also graciously created a custom bracelet for my baby nephew, keeping his shop open extra late just to make sure I was leaving with something special. Stealth, Todd, Lisa, & several others whose names I didn’t even gather.. and to Tombstone.. Thank you. I’ll be back soon for more.

Read moreStealth is the friendliest, most personable shop owner I have ever met. I wandered into his shop two years ago with my adult son and he built us a couple rockin' custom cuffs. We picked out the conches, border stamps, font stamps, snaps, doo-dads, everything. The entire time we had the most natural, easy conversation. The following year I contacted him because I found a conch in my son's drawer that his grandfather had given him when he was just a boy. I sent the conch to Stealth, unbeknownst to my son. That summer we visited Tombstone again and walked in his shop. He had my son sit down behind his workbench and open the drawer with a small parcel inside. He had him open it up and inside was the coolest pendant with the conch mounted on it. He had worked with a local silversmith to put a nice clasp on it. He then pulled out boxes and boxes of beads and let my son customize the necklace portion to his liking. Stealth created one of the most memorable moments for my son and I. I was just absolutely blown away at the time, attention, and love that he put into the whole encounter. He is truly one of a kind. Check out his Facebook page and you can see the video of the encounter - amazing! I cannot recommend him...
Read moreArrived in Tombstone AZ for a visit yesterday a little later than anticipated so many shops were closed for the evening. One remained open.. a leather goods that looked a little out of my league. Beautiful and unique leather and hand crafted wooden flutes adorned the walls all around. The minute I walked in the shop owner, by the name of Stealth, welcomed me and made me feel right at home. I was drawn to the flutes above all. He took the time to truly share with me how unique each one is, gave me a tutorial on how to play, even allowed me to try a variety of them and record him playing. Needless to say, I fell in love with the instrument. I believe every encounter happens for a reason, and this is no exception. Not only have I know taken on an instrument to honor my Native American heritage, I have found a friend. While I was in the shop I watched him assist several other patrons. He was equally as kind and knowledgeable to each. His craftsmanship is beautiful and the experience was a perfect start to an incredible weekend...
