On March 22nd, 2022 at around 5:00 pm we ate at the Crystal Palace Saloon during our week long Tombstone RV trip. A new POS system had apparently been installed, which was the excuse for no refills, no napkins, no sauces that were supposed to accompany the meal, and not one return to the table after the food was dropped off. One of us did go up and tell the bartender that we hadn't been provided napkins and couldn't get our waiters attention, and he replied that the server was busy helping other people. Now you would think the bartender would simply supply napkins, but he was too dense for that, it required a follow up request to get the napkins. The bartender was right though, for this inept staff, they must have felt busy and overwhelmed. The place had 4 wait staff members to start, and then down to 3 staff members with only around 9 tables seated the entire time we were there. No significant bar patronage. At the end of the meal we waited about 15 additional minutes to have a check brought. When we mentioned the service, our waiter shrugged it off and said they were busy figuring out their new system and walked off. Our waiter was a slim male with dark hair as I recall. Now I would have been justified to leave no tip, but having waited tables and managed multiple restaurants, I settled on 12% and will never be back to the Crystal Palace Saloon. I would mention the food, but their food doesnt overshadow their extreme lack of basic service. Albeit a small historic town, Tombstone has much better options like the Longhorn, diagonal across the street, or Big Nose Kate's. You can even take East Charleston Rd out of the South/South-West side of Tombsone to the town of Sierra Vista, just 25 minutes away, for a number of Chain-Restaurants and local options.

During our visit to Tombstone, we had the pleasure of dining at the Crystal Palace Saloon, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. One of the standout features of this restaurant is that it's one of the few places in town that allows you to bring your dog in, which was a big plus for me. Although the restaurant can get a little busy at times, the staff was quick to accommodate us, and we was able to enjoy my meal in a nice and relaxed environment. I particularly enjoyed learning about the history of Tombstone while dining at the Crystal Palace Saloon, which added to the overall experience. The food was excellent, and the serving portions were generous, which was great value for the price. I would definitely recommend the Crystal Palace Saloon to anyone visiting Tombstone, especially if you're traveling with your furry friend. Overall, the Crystal Palace Saloon is an excellent restaurant with good food, friendly staff, and an accommodating atmosphere. If you're looking for a great dining experience in Tombstone, this is definitely the place to go!

This is a really cool restaurant with a very cool history! 1st of all they are dog friendly! We travelled from Texas with Stitch our fur baby and it can be difficult to find a restaurant that allows you to bring pets inside and not just on the patio! They sat us up stairs overlooking the saloon and the server immediately brought Stitch a bowl of water. He was happy and content the whole visit! Then our server told us about the history of the saloon and suggested we take pictures outside of the town as well as pointing out the bullet holes left in the original copper ceiling left by the gunslingers. He was super attentive the whole time even as it got busier. The food was pretty good. We mostly stuck to basics like burgers and fries but my husband had the ribeye and it was so good! Pepsi products but I will forgive it 😹 Make sure to say hi to Booger at the bar if you happen to visit!

It really pains me to give this old saloon such a low rating . Here's the deal...it's Friday at 3 o'clock in the afternoon only 6 people in the bar ( really ? Why only 6 people think about it... ) I realize it's a tourist attraction, but $7.00 dollars for a 10 oz draft beer is absolutely GREED and Ripping off your customers that's why they don't come back or have more than a drink. PEOPLE KNOW WHEN THEY ARE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, and WE THE PEOPLE will not patronize any establishment that just wants to take our money and not provide a quality product at a REASONABLE PRICE or provide a pleasant and entertaining ( or at least interesting ) atmosphere. The bartender never said welcome or hello what can i get for you , I had to get her attention just to order a drink ! She was rude and very unattentive. No conversation about the history of the bar or the town or anything else, made me think she hates her job or just doesn't like people.( i know good help is hard to find, but in this case i think the owner or manager should keep looking ). People come to these attractions to be entertained and converse with others, and bar tenders should always be prepared to converse with their "patreions" instead of coworkers. I visit Tombstone every year and have for over 20 years, and I see firsthand the amount of tourism dropping tremendously, and it's simply because of OVER PRICING and selling TEMEU products at astronomically increased prices and LYING TO PEOPLE ! The Actors aren't really Actors, they are more pretenders. I was there last weekend, and the "Actors " on the street were yelling " last gunfight of the day at 2 pm at the oriental saloon, no fights on the street only at the oriental, and then 45 minutes later they were saying the same thing...lol So the last gunfight of the day was at 2 pm, but now we're having another one at 3 pm ...lol This kinda BULLSHIT and the EXTREMELY OVER INFLATED PRICING are EXACTLY what is going to KILL THE TOWN TO...

Great atmosphere, very much what you would expect from a movie set saloon. There was a cash only sign which I found irritating and I didn't want to go in and eat, but my hubby was interested in the experience. I typically don't carry cash because you can't track the expense and the cost of meals would mean multiple trips to ATMs or carrying around a bunch of cash which isn't so safe. The food was not that great either. The burgers are not made there (not fresh - we asked) and looked more like they are from a concession stand and were priced that way as well. We ordered chicken tenders for the kids and some nachos instead, thinking that you couldn't mess those up. They were alright, but I wouldn't order them again. Service was good. Basically, the place is nice for hanging out and getting out of the worst of the heat while sipping a couple drinks. The kids and I preferred the restaurant across the street, Longhorn. Food was much better there. We recommend for parties without younger kids or groups just wanting to grab a couple drinks. There are much better food options in the area if you want...
