ROC City Furniture — Hotel in Town of Henrietta

I'm not one to write reviews, but this place has really burned my biscuits. My parents bought me a bed and dresser set as a gift about three years ago and the quality is obviously subpar. Initially, the furniture store had to reorder the dresser because the first time it was delivered to our house, we opened the box and saw that the finish was bubbling and peeling in different areas. Obviously that was a no go, so they ordered another dresser, this one was acceptable (although even the second dresser still has some imperfect areas, but it was much better than the first dresser). The bed is fine, so it's possible there are items in the store that will last and be sturdy items - but the dresser I got - NOPE. For the past year or so, the drawer slides have been weakening; I pulled out a drawer the other day to find that the rolling wheel was bending in and the slides were pretty much shot. I don't think that a drawer of t-shirts should be too much to put in a dresser drawer. So now I am shelling out more money to get all new drawer slides at Lowes, which, in the process of replacing, I discovered that at least one of the slides had been stapled on - I'm assuming because whoever the manufacturer is was taking shortcuts. That's just ridiculous, in my opinion. I also have to replace all 6 drawer pulls, as they are all made from PLASTIC and the place where the screw goes in is basically completely stripped. The handles are loose and can't be tightened, so that's part 2 of the fix. I would suggest being VERY careful of what you buy here, and anything involving drawers might be better purchased in a REAL...

BEWARE of these crooks, do not buy anything from this place. Go to a reputable furniture chain. I tried to cancel an order i placed because i was no longer moving and they pushed me off over and over on the phone, claiming they were busy.. when this store is always empty, first lie. Then i show up and this rude manager tells us we can't cancel our order, even though we never received it, nor was it on its way yet. Next, he claims we have to pay a 50% restocking fee when the furniture isn't even there! And by the way, part of the order was over the phone, so this supposed fine print they claim is on the receipt that says you have 7 days to cancel an order, i never was given nor told when i ordered over the phone. They obviously are desperate. Then the supposed owner calls me up, an aggressive bully, angrily telling me. that he paid for the furniture and will be out this money since it was on its way, yet another lie. We were told 3 to 4 weeks. When I stated they don't have to accept delivery of it or they can sell it since it's in their showroom, I was told they could not sell it since now it became a "special order" all of a sudden. They tried every excuse in the book although they have relationships with these companies they order from. He kept coming up with baloney to desperately hold on to the money. Makes me furious to see places like this.. They obviously aren't doing well. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from these crooks. especially because if you have a problem with anything after its delivered, I am told by other customers they will do nothing. ...

We purchased a new sofa and loveseat set and set up delivery for which staff was sure to ask what would work best for our schedule. A Saturday afternoon delivery was set up. On the day of delivery our sales man Danny called in the morning to remind us of our delivery and to ensure all details were perfect for out furniture protection plan. The delivery drivers did call prior to coming. Once here we had an unexpected event happen our door ways to our home were a bit to small for the furniture we bought. The delivery drivers went above and beyond to help us remove doors from both of our doorways. Unfortunately that did not work. The delivery men then suggested we remove out front window. The drivers had to go as they had more delivery’s but they spend a good 30 minutes at our home to help with the doors and troubleshooting. They also called John and Danny at the store and informed them of our problem. John and Danny knew someone who could possibly help and reassured us they would work with us no matter what so we could have our new furniture. John called Monday morning to touch base and then scheduled our delivery for that same day in the afternoon. The drivers again communicated with when they would be at our home. Everything went off without a hitch. We are now enjoying our new furniture. I never do reviews but want to highly recommend Roc City furniture as the have excellent customer service from beginning until end we are very grateful for all...
