I've always really enjoyed the cider and the service here but one night, in a bar full of people, 2 mins after they have closed, I encountered my first bad experience with Blue Toad.
Me (white woman) and my boyfriend (Indian man) went to pick up a growler for a party. Admittedly, we got there a few minutes after closing. We walked in, people everywhere, and the bartender informed us they were closed. My boyfriend asked if we can buy a growler, since they were clearly not going anywhere soon, given the amount of people still drinking.

Read moreSecond time we've been to Blue Toad Cidery. Have really liked most of their ciders (many to choose from & personal taste) My wife & I did a cake decorating class with Tu Amor Cakery at BT. Alot of fun! Ordered a flight of 6 but really enjoyed the Ring of Fire Cider and ordered a pint of that after. Wife had a Muddy Turtle pint (aftertaste of tootsie roll), she liked it. Overall a nice place, good prices and friendly staff. But if your in Henrietta and your thirsty, stop in...
Read moreGreat little local cider house. The small company has two locations one in Virginia and the one we visited. Staff in Rochester was helpful insightful fun and cheerful. Had a great time and samples a variety of their ciders. For me the lilac cider made for the lilac festival was tops. Dry with of course floral notes it cut through your thirst and was a delight. They have a broad scope from dry to sweet to fit anyone's flavor. Using locally sourced apples means you can feel good about sitting down relaxing and enjoying their delicious offerings. It's a do not miss if close or a...
