I came here a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. Very friendly staff, great food and atmosphere. However this seems to be no more. After a recent visit we received a starter of chicken satay that was still very raw inside. To push home how dangerous this is, raw chicken consumption can literally kill you! It is so dangerous that you can experience at the very least severe vomiting and diarrhea. Get a more severe reaction and you could well end up in hospital with a huge medical bill and lasting lifelong issues and then of course death if you should be unlucky. The staff were apologetic about it and refunded just the cost of the starter and thankfully none of us ate any of it, but if we hadn't checked we would surely be very sick. However I would have expected no charge at all for any of our meal. The atmosphere in there was also totally different than before. Not very friendly and a lady was food prepping a huge load of what looked like basil right in the middle of the restaurant. The dining area is for dining. It is not for food prep. I am sure there is some sort of code that says you shouldn't be doing that. I shall never return again due to the raw chicken incident. Yes it may have been a one off but that is just not good enough. It seems America is just full to the brim of below par restaurants.

Everytime I go here I am completely blown away from the serving sizes and the exquisite taste varieties. This is the best Thai restaurant in NYS handsdown. I have spent a small portion of my life living in Thailand, and am also so impressed with how close this is to the food of Bangkok, Phattai and Phuket. I can't speak regarding the food I Changmai and the outskirts near the northern borders where the food blends with other cultures, but I can say this is absolutely what you might see if going to Thailand. The Thai tea was extremely sweaty to offset the extremely spicy food (I have a high heat tolerance for spice, so always get some extra house chili oil spice to add) I highly recommend Nam Sod as a started, add some of their homemade chili oil to it to start your day off. The beef satay skewers are always a.azing with the peanut sauce and cucumber marinated in vinegar. If you're a hankering for some good seafood I highly recommended the Evil Jungle Prince Seafood. In the end highly recommend!

Id like an option for a 6th ⭐️, possible 7th. Mouth watering smells of Thailand immediately smacked me in the face upon entering. You know youre in for a treat, instantly. First order of business, Singha 🍻 We eat family style, lazy susan not in play. The spice is “1-4!”, shouted the server, immediately walking away. I like her style, she knew we wanted more time. Side note: about 1/2 way through our meal I hear an all too familiar voice yell out,”1-4, chiise! 1-4!” I look to see the same waitress walking away and an older gentleman looking over his shoulders at her. He had a very bewildered expression on his face. Shes legendary. Be weary the spice level. I enjoy the nose runny spice, I can handle a decent amount of heat, the 2 was pretty spicy 🥵 I had the Phat Kee Moun w/shrimp (spice level 2). It was phenomenal. Seafood combo w/cashew (spice level 2), was the perfect looking dish. Like a spicy rainbow 🌈 🔥 This last meal was the palate pleaser, seafood combo with basil 🌿 (spice lev 2)

Let me start off by saying the food here is great! I’m a regular, and have never had anything wrong with the food. Tonight I was extremely disappointed in the service we received. They brought out one big bowl of rice for 7 people which was fine… in the past we’ve always been able to get the rice bowl filled and the staff is always so friendly and comes out and asks if we want more. We ran out of rice quickly with 7 of us, and sat 10-15 minutes waiting for someone to come so we could get more. Once our waiter came, we asked for more rice since we all sat there 15 minutes waiting for some. He told us it would be a $2 charge per person for more white rice. $14 more for white rice. We’ve never ever had to pay for additional rice, and server was adamant and shoved a menu in my face to show me rice was $1.99 per person. The rice is in the back as an add on.. on top of the menu it shows all meals are included with rice. If you are going to start charging for simple plain white rice that is already clumped together and not soft, we will start supporting another Thai restaurant. Absolutely disappointed! If you are going to start charging for rice, then bring every individual out their own bowl of rice instead of throwing in one container for everyone to take out of. I’ve also NEVER had to make a reservation any of the times I have came here, and the staff was very rude up front. I said there were 7 of us, and they asked twice if we made a reservation. When I called to ask if they were open, they should’ve said on the phone a reservation was needed. I hope the rice situation gets fix, or make it clear to customers from the start you are now charging for rice that is suppose to...

This is typical Rochester ethnic cuisine: food that is mediocre in taste with too little spice flavors. As a vegan with three vegetarians we all appreciate the large menu of options for us. The soup of the day was a tomato based lemon grass soup that had way too little lemongrass and had sugar in it. What! The lemongrass dish had hardly any lemon grass if any. what! My wife had a noodle dish that came with rice. what!

They are clearly serving a non discriminating community but they sure know their clientele. The place was crowded for lunch.

The clinker in the whole experience: the soup comes with the lunch menu which my wife didn’t like so I asked to take it home. The server said no way, the boss forbids it. What! I bought the same bowl of soup. I own it and have the right to take it home. What!!

Edited review changes: the more I think about my experience I must change my review. I usually award two stars for mediocrity and add a star to any review that caters to restricted diets which this restaurant does.

But when a restaurant refuses to allow me to take home a menu item which I have purchased, I cannot let this stand. A bowl of soup is an item on the menu, is part of the lunch menu in house and for online ordering. There is no mentioned restriction about taking this bowl of soup home with me. This is not a buffet where I would load up my plate and then ask for a container to take it home.

I bought it , I own it and I want to eat it later. To be refused proper service is inexcusable and therefore I give the King and I a single star and will...
