I will only write a bad review when it is bad enough that I hope it helps someone, and our last night there was the straw that broke the camelās back! To start, we were early arriving and room was not available. No biggie, Iāll wait. They had one already available but on the 1st floor ( which I try never to do) but took it anyway. Oh and found out they held an additional $200 on top for āincidentalsā which being Diamond, we have never had this happen. Front desk didnāt tell me either, I seen it on my banking app. When I asked the front desk, the Asian male dismissed me and the charges like too bad, it is what it is. The room itself is in dire need of some serious upgrades and overall maintenance. FYI, there was one USB outlet connected to the kitchenette table, and it did not work. Neither did the room phone. Finding that out at 1am when attempting to call the front desk our last night there. The room felt damp. Like the sheets, the towels, toilet paper, even the floor had a light film of moisture. After taking a shower and my son showering, we quickly realized there are no fans for the steam. Which I believe the hotel knew this issue because when we arrived, the room was 65 degrees and the ac blasting. Later realizing, no matter what you set it at, it constantly ran, all day and night. Our door never actually locked. No matter how hard you pulled it shut. Found this out day 4 when my son leaned against it when I was digging for the key and it opened. We stayed for 5 days but were only in the room each day until later in the evening to just shower and sleep. Had to ask for towels after the 3rd night. Guess no one cleans the room unless you ask them to. Didnāt know that. Letās talk about the breakfastā¦ā¦. Donāt even consider it! It was like trying to regular shop during Black Friday at 8am. By the time we were able to get in there, the hot food looked undercooked and the area looked worse than LA after the riots. I would suggest, just make time and grab something elsewhere. If you donāt have time, maybe the apples/oranges are ok or possibly the cereal if you ask for milk that hasnāt sat in a carafe for 3hrs. Now the final nightā¦ā¦ From about 8pm to 11pm, the people above us sounded like a violent domestic situation slamming things on the floor ( our ceiling ). This was my attempt to use the broken phone. Spoke to the front desk and they said they would call. This was at 11pm roughly. Must have been pretty short because I think they took it as a challenge and the pounding was even worse. Walked down the second time around midnight. Different person but said the same thing. I waited to hear the conversation. Before I got back to my room, my son met me half way saying he couldnāt take it anymore and he said something to the front desk. By 1am-1:30am they either took care of each other or blacked out because the pounding stopped.
The only good thing about this hotel was it is 2 minutes from 495 for travel. We are in this area twice a year for 5-7 days each time. I will NEVER, book here again and will advise our organization to not offer any blocks here as well as it will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA few months ago I gave this place 5 stars bit now I had to reduce it to 3. As a returning customer I can see the place is slowly but surely going down. Our problem at this time was the pool and jacuzzi area. With some health issues we were looking forward to use the jacuzzi in one morning over the Easter weekend when we stayed in the hotel. The pool room conditions at 8 in the morning were the same as people left the area a night before after a long party. The jacuzzi did not even worked. Front desk was apologizing and their solution was to direct us to the hotel next door and use their jacuzzi. Just to be sure it is in good condition the lady called them and asked for a clean pool area. 10 minutes later we walked over and boy it was clean! Couldn't even breathe in the pool room it was full of chlorine fumes! I guess their solution was after the phone call to run in and dump 20 gallons of chlorine in the pool and the jacuzzi. We had to open the garden door to air out the room. We decided to stay and spent 10 minutes in the hot tub. That was a big mistake. Our skin is still peeling from the chemical burn... Like we took a dip in a tub of liquid chlorine! It is horrible and we will never stay in this hotel again ever! Hilton couldn't even help us with another problem... 3 weeks earlier when we booked the double room we paid advanced over the phone. A few days prior arrival our plans changed and did not needed the double room anymore just a single. They could not change it, could not change it to another date, could not give us a refund, nothing. Doesn't matter if we called the desk, or the corporate office. I never saw such a stubborn unflexible company like Hilton. The nicest guy was this hotel's manager who promised and a few days later gave us 40000 points which is good to use for a one night booking in the future. So after all the problem got solved but it was a lots of hassle and we weren't expecting this kind of treatment as a returning customer and Hilton Honors members. My advice just book the room and definitely DO NOT pay in advance! Otherwise the parking is convenient the place is fairly clean and the breakfast area and the food is good. If anyone works hard those ladies do, to clean up the mess left by customers! They would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStay somewhere else, anywhere else. The place was horrible. It was Christmas week and the lobby was as cold as it was outside. They had electric heaters all over the lobby. Even the server was wearing a parka, hat and gloves. The receptionist was in a coat and gloves as well. I needed to get a suitcase stand to put my suitcase on as they said they didn't have any. I'm handicapped and have issues bending and this was a big problem for me. We had to bring the tubs out of our vehicle so I had something to put my suitcase on. The room was disgusting and really needs a good cleaning as well as the hallways that weren't vacuumed but once the entire week we were there and only because I complained. Couldn't adjust the thermostat properly. Dishes and silverware that were in the cabinets were disgustingly filthy. Coffee maker was filthy and I cleaned it because I didn't want to walk all the way down to the lobby for coffee. Inside of cabinets were filthy. HVAC air intake filled with dust No fire exit sign posted outside of our room to the stairwell. Heat sensor on ceiling was falling out. Ice was built up on windows meaning they were not sealed properly. Black mold on the window frame. No safety on windows, a child could open them and easily fall out. The front desk was very unresponsive to our needs. I'm handicapped and had to walk from the lobby to the elevator and take it to the 3rd. floor and walk mind you with a cane all the way to the other end of the building which in my mind is not a handicapped accessible room. I have written to corporate on more than one occasion in regard to the condition of Hilton Hotels especially the ones on Long island. I have yet to receive a response! And I am a Platinum Honors Member and I guess it means nothing to them! And all I got when we checked out was a $50 credit? Really? after spending over Thousand dollars and dealing with all of this! I looked for other hotels after getting there and seeing all of this but everything was booked and we were stuck...
