I had been there before and I love it but my family had never been.
I ordered the fat Gordo in a bowl. Everything was awesome. I love the addition of the tater tots.
My wife had the fat Gordo in a burrito and it was too much for her to even come close to finishing.
Gabby ordered a fat cali, which had avocado steak french fries fat boy sauce and cheese and rice. She said it was the greatest burrito she's ever eaten in her entire life ever. She can't wait to come back but to be honest with you she will probably eat the remainder of the bowl later tonight or tomorrow.
We also ordered a Mexican street corn and thought it was going to be corn kernels but it was actually a corn on the cob. After eating everything else we really didn't have the room for it so I took a few bites and we'll save the rest for later. It was definitely worth it.
Kenny ordered a hamburger. The great part about this location is they are inside of coliseum kitchen. this is a lot like a food court inside a standalone building. There's a little bit for everybody there. During the week they also have a sushi bar which didn't seem to be up and running tonight but everything else was in full swing. We had such a great time and had an awesome conversation with the fat boy manager. She was amazing and told the stories about her time playing soccer for Hofstra. It was so great.
If you decide to check out this location do me a favor and tell the manager you heard about it from us. We would love them to become a partner and we need to show them love so they know we exist. Totally an awesome place to go.
When putting this place in your GPS make sure you put in coliseum kitchen and caterers. If you search for Fatboy burrito the only one that shows up is bellmore. this is the second location but they are searchable under the coliseum kitchen and caterers name.

Read moreI’ve been meaning to post this for a few weeks – but better late than never. All too often, we take the time to complain, but rarely to compliment. This past Thanksgiving, was the first one that we have ever hosted in our home. We decided to get dinner catered – and, oddly enough, we missed the deadline for the place where we planned to get the dinner from. My wife – scrambling, found an ad for the special packages from Coliseum Kitchen – and she had heard of them before, as the company where she works had used them before.
We placed the order with some very nice folks – and I even pointed out that my wife was a celiac, so extra care needed to be taken with regard to the food. They couldn’t be nicer. They wouldn’t even let me pack it into the car. Every detail was taken care of – from the packaging to the reheating instructions.
I made it a point to call the owner the Monday after Thanksgiving, as I drove to work, as I had a need to let him (Ralph) know that they had “knocked it out of the freaking park!” Every guest insisted on seconds and thirds… even the kids who were picky eaters – loved it. The turkey was delicious and juicy – not a dry bite. The stuffing – fantastic… the veggies. Crisp and tasty… the gravy – amazing – and the garlic mashed – phenomenal. Not a single criticism here – and I am usually quite the critical guy. Amazing – you owe it to yourself –if you’re thinking of using Coliseum Kitchen for a catering gig – to call and book them right now. I can, without a doubt, say that they’ve earned a new and dedicated client in me (and my extended family!). Worth....
Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Just left this place, and the only reason we tried this place is because it was kinda cool looking. But the looks are actually overly compensating for the customer service and taste!! We ordered blueberry pancakes with home fries, no one else in line and they didn’t seem busy. How complicated is that?!! When they initially gave me my order they gave me hash browns, ok no problem took it back and reiterated my order for home fries. Comes out a second time and they gave me plain pancakes when I had stated blueberry pancakes. Needless to say the pancakes were not good at all. I just didn’t have the energy to go back and explain the difference between plain and blueberry when I was trying to get a quick bite to eat when my little dog was fighting for his life in the ICU around the corner at Long Island Veterinary Hospital. When leaving, I asked to speak to the man who took my order to let him know of the mistakes and my first time experience there was NOT a good one. I had 3 employees standing in front of me listening to me tell them of their mistakes, 2 gentleman and a tall skinny lady. Not one of them apologized whatsoever and acted so nonchalantly. If I was the owner I would’ve rectified that in a heartbeat anyway I could! Businesses forget that customers are their lifeline and folks have plenty of other choices in restaurants to go to. This was my plight and felt this was important to share with hard working folks that have choices in...
