I'd give this place 3 1/2 stars but since we can't rate by halfs I'll give 4. The staff here are wonderful! Tom, Kayla, Samantha (just to name a few) were all so accommodating, they made me feel at home! The main floor has the best scent ever, I don't know what it is but I loved it! The upkeep of the hotel was nice, lots of seats in the lobby, free tea and coffee which I took full advantage of! They have a bar where you could get a free beer or wine with a Facebook check-in (which I also took advantage of 😉). The pool area is nice, questioned the cloudiness of the pool itself but it didn't seem dirty, maybe too much chemicals (which would explain my burning eyeballs). Free breakfast buffet daily was nice but wish there were more options. The "Gallery Menu" is OK for the average Joe but was difficult for any clean-eating-vegetarian, but again, staff did their very best to accommodate my desires. Every day I was asked how my stay was going which I enjoyed! But my biggest complaint and overall turn-off was housekeepings lack of, well, upkeeping the rooms! Upon walking in, I did a quick inspection and first thing I checked was the bathroom, I was extremely disgusted when I looked at the shower curtain and it was red from what looked like either dried up blood or red hair rinse, I immediately called the front desk and they quickly sent up maintenance to give me a new one. My entire 5 night stay, not one time didn't Room get vacuumed or "cleaned" other than fresh towels and making the bed, this was a huge turnoff for me and didn't think I would have to ask for that to be done. There were also staples sticking out from the carpet (room 226) where I cut my toe pretty bad on, because of this, the hotel manager took one night off of my bill (which I wasn't expecting, thanks.) and Tom threw in some extra loyalty points also. I really hope housekeeping could do a better job because then, I will come back & rate 5 stars! Overall, Good but needs...
Read moreWhen I checked-in, it was JACOB manning the Front Desk. He was "very friendly & nice", which made my stay really pleasant!! I keep looking for him, but only seen him twice - it is always nice to be with someone who makes U feel happy & appreciated!!
There were 2 female staff, not so nice. Buffet breakfast was fine, could have been improved. Selection composed of Scrambled Eggs, Hard-boiled Eggs, small-sized Pancakes on the weekend, Sausage links, Bacon alternate every other day, theres a liquidy stuff I dont know what it is; U make your own oatmeal from the pouch, there milk (its not in individual tetra packs), but in a pitcher;; Sourdough sliced bread, Wheat Bread, Orange & Apple Juices, Bananas, Cut fruit, Green Apples wrapped in cling-wrap, Coffee, Hash Browns.
What blew the experience was on my 5th day, there was NO WATER! Did not get to shower nor wash-up!! Tried calling 3x, using the room tel., NOBODY cared to pick-up the tel.!! Every attempt to call, no one picked-up!! I decided to check-out & used water from a bottle to brush my teeth... When I got to the Front Desk, & inquired why theres nobody picking-up the phone calls as I tried calling 3x, she said the tel. was not ringing!! Which was UNBELIEVABLE!! Then I asked why theres no water & the female staff there at 1155am said that they did not know the city was going to work on the water pipes - which is ALSO UNBELIEVABLE!! U would think the city would inform the area of a water interruption, to give a heads-up to businesses & residences!
My room was clean. I liked my room! I was attending a conference & flew-in from Canada. I stayed 5...
Read moreThis was by far the tackiest Hyatt / Hyatt Place experience I've had in recent months. This hotel recently changed management and things have sadly gone downhill. I've stayed here twice - once in January 2022 and again in early July. I really enjoyed the staff and our stay here back in January, but I would not recommend this hotel as of now. First off, the room was musty/stuffy and the carpet had stains - didn't mention anything because it was after midnight and we just wanted to sleep. The WOH app gives the impression that globalists can receive a 4pm checkout and daily housekeeping, but this is not true upon arrival. While we didn't need daily housekeeping, we really wanted to take advantage of the 4pm checkout for globalists and it was a big part of why we booked this hotel. There was also a towel shortage and there were signs posted in the elevators/common areas telling people not to request fresh towels "tonight" even though they were up for the entirety of our 4 night stay. The hotel's "restaurant" and "bar" are advertised all over the hotel and on its website, but good luck finding consistent hours - just sloppy & low hanging fruit for them to correct. The passive aggressive manager/person working the front desk upon checkout blamed COVID for the policy changes (she was not wearing a mask, ironically), but it just seems inconsistent with other hotels in the area/this hotel's inflated rates. Just save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere...or maybe this hotel could bring it's old management back. Motel service/cleanliness at an elevated price.....go to the Home2 across the...
