Well to start out it's not your standard Hampton! Right when you walk in it feels different. Greetings are half hearted. They did have cookies but Not at the desk, they are on a small cart off to the side by the door, not easy to see. And in the morning they put the breakfast bag in the same place. One of the reasons why I like to stay st Hamptons is I have asthma and other hotels or motels use fragrant cleaners, which set off my asthma. The first room I went into they must have sprayed some kind of fragrances in. So we went to another room which was fine, until I sat on the computer chair, it was broken. I went down to the desk and told them and asked if it could be replaced the next day when we were out. Next day at breakfast it seamed like something was missing, part of one of the counters was empty. We went out sightseeing, when we got back out room had not been cleaned!!! And the chair was not fixed or changed. We told them and they asked if we had the " do not disturb" sign out I told them no and I distinctly remember putting inside. We told them we would go out to eat and would they please give us new towels. He did get us some towels, but not any wash rags and no bath mat. So I called down, and he brought up 3 bath mats, wash rags, and 2 hand towels. So as I was putting them away I noticed the hand towel was stained. At check out all she asked me was if I wanted to keep the charges on my credit card, I asked her if she was going to ask me How was my stay was. She said she knew I had some trouble with the towel, when I went into everything, she told me that housekeeping goes around and writes down all the do not disturb room and said ours was one of them. I told her no we didn't have it out! She said she would have to talk to her manager. After all of that they decided they would give us a free night. Wow talk about nights from hell at a...
Read moreHampton Inn Seneca Falls is located off of Route 414, approximately twenty minutes south from Interstate 90. The property is located near a Tops supermarket, Sauder's supermarket, Wal-Mart, and fast-food establishments. A vehicle may be needed to access all local amenities. From the front of hotel, guests and visitors can view a busy landfill located on the horizon to the north and west; no prevailing odor from the landfill was experienced during my stay. Immediate traffic noise on either side of the hotel and intersection is minimal. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Guest room was mostly clean and functional. One desiccated beetle carcass fell from the ceiling light fixture near the guest suite door. Several water spots or stains were present on the guest suite closet door mirror. Several fingerprints and stains were on the guest suite wall proximal to the bed. Bathroom fan/vent was nonfunctional; did not report. Guest suite climate control appeared antiquated. Fitness center appeared clean and functional, but did not use at the time of my stay. Swimming pool appeared clean but did not use at the time of my stay. Complimentary breakfast available with limited variety and selection but good quality. Please be advised, no restaurant on-site. Ample, free parking available. Overall, average stay. I may consider selecting a different hotel when visiting the Seneca Falls, Waterloo area...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Seneca Falls and had an extremely disappointing experience with one of the front desk employees, Craig. Upon encountering significant issues with the WiFi in my room—slow across all of my devices—I called the front desk seeking assistance. To my surprise, Craig was dismissive, unempathetic, and unprofessional from the start. Instead of offering any real help, he insisted that the issue was with all of my devices, not the hotel’s internet service.
When I tried to explain the severity of the issue and referenced how slow the connection was, Craig arrogantly suggested I “just log out and log back in” without offering any further troubleshooting or solutions. As someone who works in the IT field, I was shocked by his attitude and lack of basic customer service skills. I had to push repeatedly for assistance before he finally mentioned that I should call the hotel’s IT support line myself—a detail that should have been brought up immediately, not after several frustrating exchanges.
The dismissive nature of Craig's responses and his unwillingness to help ruined my stay. I was unable to work from my room all week, and what could have been a minor inconvenience turned into a major problem due to the poor customer service I received. After this experience, I will never stay at this hotel again. I expected far better from a...
