First time at this location. They were able to check me in at noon earlier than their normal 3 pm check in perks of being a Marriott elite member and awesome their staffs hospitality to accommodate as I had just came from the airport, went to work and participated in a dunk tank competition and walked into their lobby soak and wet. I’d say it’s a pretty quiet spot not to far from the airport, fast food spots with options and a few miles down from the new Amazon distribution center TUS2. I was a little upset to find myself in the shower this morning not having conditioner (the containers were not replenished and frankly the housekeeping staff was rude when I arrived so I did not bother to ask) was a real bummer for a blonde (dyed hair so brittle without the conditioner) and on top of that no bar soap to wash my hands. Little nuisances but not a deal breaker. The shower was neat on a rolling steel shutter and the room also came equipped with a couch bed which was not needed as I travel alone for work but a plus should I find myself in the area for leisure with affordable pricing and did I mention there is a mini fridge but no microwave. What I also liked was coming in and seeing my name on a welcome prompt on the TV reminded me of Vegas and another perk which I think is needed now a days is usb charging ports near the bed side or in the room period that actually worked right on Courtyard.
Review continued… after my morning rush without conditioner i was in a hurry out of my room for a meeting when I realized I left my Apple Watch at the hotel in my room on the night stand which I wasn’t to worried because I’d go back after my meeting …I left my room at 8am the watch was turned off at 8:39am and housekeeping entered at 8:45am even when I put a late check out of 2pm. I called for 3 hrs once I realized I left it but figured I’d go back after work to check the room since I had till 2. $100 night costed me $300 watch and a $54 wrist band 😩 the management there was unbothered by the fact that the timing and their employees were in fact in the area. I tracked it back to my room through find my iPhone but once it was shut off I lost its location. DO NOT STAY HERE. They will rob you and the management with entertain that.
The message i sent Marriott and have not received a response it’s been two days. (I left my Apple Watch in my room as I had an early morning meeting. I left the location at 8 am and realized it was still at the hotel. Since I was at work I tried calling the location for several hours and no answer my watch was turned off at 8:39am the housekeeping lead said the room was cleaned at 8:45am one of your employees stole my watch and I tracked it back to the room through find my iPhone. I did not come to your location for business to be robed by your employees. A $100 night costed me a $300 dollar watch with a $54 dollar wristband it is a misdemeanor to steal anything over $250 and if Marriott does not replace my belongings I will take additional actions to recover my item as it was tracked back to the room 141 … your staff should not have entered that room to begin with as I requested a 2pm check out i don’t feel safe at any of your locations knowing you allow this kind of behavior and your management showed no accountability. I have a screenshot of my item at the location after my departure and will make a...
Read moreI had booked a room from Sunday night through Friday night, and have the confirmation number and emails to prove it. However, when I got back to the hotel on Friday evening, I was told by the desk clerk that my belongings had all been packed up because they only had me booked through Thursday night, and they were overbooked.
My belongings were carried out to me, and I found myself standing in the lobby by the front desk with my suitcase, dirty clothes bag, and four or five plastic bags into which my belongings had been stuffed. I was humiliated, confused, and embarrassed to be standing there in the lobby by the front desk with my belongings piled around me. If I were a guest in the lobby, I would assume that the woman who was clearly being expelled from her room had had a credit card bounce, or something similarly embarrassing. They offered give me another room and take my things to it for me (if they were overbooked, how was that possible? The room I’d been in wouldn’t have been in high demand, as it was right next to the ice machine and the elevator.)
At that point, I just wanted to leave, but I felt I should go through my belongings before I left so that, if anything was missing, it would be documented before I left. I asked if there was a private room where I could inventory and repack my belongings, and was helped to move my things to a small meeting room. It felt like a Walk of Shame to walk through the lobby like that. I was mortified. They offered to help me find a room somewhere else, and even offered to give me a room for the night for free (again, if they had a room for me, why had I been kicked out of mine?)
When I stay in a hotel for several days, I unpack. I hang up my clothes, put things in drawers, lay out my earrings, makeup, etc., Their packing was not done with any care. My clothes were shoved into my suitcase the bags along with my other things – shoes, headphones, makeup… My earrings were tied into a corner of a plastic bag which was put in a larger plastic bag with other things, and with clothes stuffed on top, two were slightly bent. I have several hand-carved wooden hair sticks. These were all tossed in a plastic bag with non-soft stuff, with no care to ensure they weren't broken or scratched. Having strangers handle all my private things – my earrings, my underwear, my mouthguard - my privacy was violated and it...
The room was clean but they told us it was king size bed and all of the bedding was labeled queen. The bed did seem smaller than normal. The way the furniture was set up in the room made it awkward for two people to watch tv in bed as the tv was off to the side instead of at the foot of the bed. If you have breakfast included with your stay you will find out that you have to order from a different menu than what is on the board. This was not explained to us at check-in. As I considered ordering from the regular menu because I did not want a breakfast sandwich or a bagel I ended up settling because the woman at the register told me they were cleaning the fryer and they could not make the breakfast potatoes. She told me I could substitute for fruit. Personally, I thought if I decided to shell out $15 for eggs that I should be able to order anything off the menu. Who decides to clean the fryer in the middle of breakfast? I went with the bagel and coffee. There were other options off the free menu, I just can't remember them all. Overall I would recommend eating breakfast somewhere else if at all possible. As I was leaving I discovered that my car was stolen. This is not something that anyone would want to deal with. When I went inside to let the employees know what happened they did not seem to care. The manager happened to be there and he told me to get the police report and that they do an incident report. I was stuck on the property for a couple of hours before I was able to leave. They did not seem at all concerned that a vehicle was stolen off of the property and I was not approached and asked if I was ok until about 20 minutes before I left. I do not plan on returning to this property. We usually stay at the Sheraton property near the Tucson airport and decided to stay at this property due to Marriott...
