Do not stay here. Totally unprofessional and rude. Drove 8 hours today to attend a 3 day event this weekend with my 15 year old daughter. Reserved this room LAST MONTH via Expedia. Showed up today and was told they could not book my room because the last name on my ID did not match the name on my Expedia account. Changed the name on my Expedia account while standing at the counter and showed the clerk. I then was informed they could not honor my reservation because the last name on my debit card (Married name) was different than the name on my ID (maiden name). Ok, understandable I guess (even though I have traveled to Vegas, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Fort Bragg- all this year with no issues). Then was told they would accept cash payment for my room and the deposit. The clerk then told me to cancel my reservation, i literally said ”are you sure?” To which he replied “yes.” I canceled the reservation via my Expedia account on my phone. I am then told my room and reservation was cancelled and taken immediately by someone else online. There are no other rooms available at this hotel for the duration of the event i spent $1000s on for my daughter and I to attend. I asked to speak to the manager and thats when Michelle the manager graces me with her professionalism and literally tells me too bad, its my fault that my room was cancelled and they will not honor the reservation I made LAST MONTH and gave my room away to someone who made the reservation while i was standing at the counter with my money in hand to pay for the room and the deposit. They left me high and dry after having driven 8 hours with my 15 year old daughter with no accommodations for the weekend. Would not be a huge deal (still THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER BEEN SUBJECTED TO) if all the other hotels in town were not also fully booked for the entire weekend. WOULD GIVE ZERO...

The stay at Oasis Inn and Suites Joshua Tree - 29 Palms was disappointing and fell short of expectations. Upon early arrival, the receptionist requested an additional fee for early check-in, which was understandable. However, the real issues began at the official check-in time.
Despite returning at 5 PM, two hours after the stated check-in time, the assigned room was not ready and had not been cleaned. This is unacceptable, considering guests pay for every hour of their stay. The staff's request for an additional 20 minutes to prepare the room was frustrating, especially since alternative ready rooms were not offered.
The room itself was described as "okay," but lacked basic amenities such as an AC remote control, which is essential for guest comfort. Noise levels were also a concern, with lobby activity being clearly audible from the room, potentially disrupting rest and relaxation.
The check-out experience was equally disappointing. A receptionist was observed smoking outside, neglecting waiting guests who needed to complete their check-out process. This lack of professionalism and attention to customer service is unexpected from a hotel that aims to provide a comfortable stay for its guests.
While the hotel's location near Joshua Tree National Park is convenient, the overall experience was marred by poor service, lack of room readiness, and inattentive staff. These issues significantly detract from the value proposition of the hotel, especially considering its proximity to a popular tourist destination.
The stay at Oasis Inn and Suites Joshua Tree - 29 Palms was unsatisfactory. The hotel needs to improve its check-in procedures, room preparation, and staff responsiveness to meet basic hospitality standards and ensure a more pleasant experience for...
Read moreUpon arrival into the hotel lobby I was greeted by a bubbly staff member, who checked me in quickly. She provided me two key cards, I asked that she hold one for SisTa, who wasn't expected till a bit later and I wasn't going to be around.
I took my key card and the map of the facility with a hand drawn path from "You are here" to my room and off I went. Easy to find the way and parking steps from the doorway. Love when that happens, so much gear to unload is a lot easier to haul a few feet, then through a lobby, upstairs and down the hall.
The room size was respectable enough to take all of our stuff and even have room to walk from the bed to the bathroom without tripping over packs, boots, and other conveniences. In this hotel stay, we opted for one bed and sofa bed for BroTha, most cost effective route and we made our online reservations.
I inspected the joint inside and out and took pics along the way. What a great place and to think, it didn't even break the bank. Pool, spa, ahhhhh!!!! I was already planning our Saturday night. Have a few fellow hikers over to chillax in the after The Main Event, oh and awesome!! A fire pit ta boot.
The restroom was clean and well stocked, the bed was comfy, even BroTha liked sleeping on the sofa bed, said it didn't feel like a sofa bed, it was really comfortable.
Almost forgot, breakfast. Wow! What a spread. Pastries, eggs and bakie, toast and cereal, juice and coffee. There was so many options and so much food we didn't have to stop on the way to the Cove. Looking at their website earlier, I noticed that they are putting in a restaurant. I hope that doesn't mean they will be getting rid of the continental breakfast. Our day starts early enough, we don't have time to do a sit down, we need to grab and go.
SisTa and I will be booking Hotel 29 Palms for our next trip to...
