Magnum Inn — Hotel in Union City

No online reservations even though the property is still listed on Expedia|- Room smelt very old with a gallon of PineSol trying to cover it up|- stains on the pillow cases|- no fitted sheets, just mattress cover with flat sheet and comforter. We had to sleep under the itchy comforter|- TV was broken|- there was a cabel the plug into the TV but no spot on the TV to plug it into. TV was basically just wall art|- We had 3 people in the room and only had 3 towls total. 1 body towel, 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel|- Hallway alarm was malfunctioning at 6 AM in the morning for over a hour before it was finally turned off|- paid almost $100 for double with no complimentary breakfast or pool. |- subfloors were sinking in and they just laid new laminate over it so when we walked over it, it cracked|- Hallway windows were broken out and very hot!!|- windows in the room were closed by a wooden board|- I didn't feel safe there at all but I already paid before seeing all this stuff and I knew better than to fight for a refund|- this hotel should be demolished. I try to save money with hotels since I travel a lot for my business. I will pay more for another hotel if I have to come back to Union City. Flooring is uneven, trim molding is being taken up, (I suppose to replace it), no phone in room so I had to go to the lobby each time I had a problem...the TV didn't work first of all, then I noticed there was NO toilet paper in the bathroom so since they locked the door to the lobby at 10:45 I had to go around to the outside to the front & ring the bell since the front door was also locked, then waited 5 minutes to get toilet paper. There was hair in the bathroom sink, the curtains weren't even hooked up so I had to try to get them attached properly, no breakfast, red tape on ceiling above tub to cover up something. I will say the bed was at least comfortable, fairly quiet, (since very few people are staying here), the TV also only has the volume go up so high & could barely hear it, small refrig had rust all over the front. Air condition vents have to blow right in the direction of your face on the bed. Overall, just...

We had an emergency at our home and had to stay here. We are still here waiting for the house to be fixed.the room is spacious & clean huge bathroom I'm disabled so getting into a bathtub is really hard at home the tub side is up & I have a hard time getting my legs over the tub & feeling safe but at my house I've slipped because of how high it is at Magnum I have no such fear I was very comfortable and it felt great I didn't want to get out of the tub !!!!!! The bathroom had a shower chair in the bathroom so to me that lets me know they are thinking about disabled people & looking out for them.housekeeping is very nice & polite and respectful, answers questions & concerns if there are any ( there were no concerns) management and the owners are all very nice & friendly very attentive & effecient with what they do !!!!!
