Where to start? First, this is not an aparthotel. It’s a hotel, full stop. There is nothing apartment about it. Not any hint of a kitchenette. So much so that the refrigeration they refer to is a drawer that is a chilled minibar. So if you want to store anything of your own, you have to not only remove the minibar items but also pull out all of the weird drawers they’ve added to the small fridge. There are no dishes or accoutrement that would lend this to being an aparthotel. Initially I wanted to write about how great the staff was, because some were amazing. The folks working outside to help with luggage, get you into the warmth quickly, bring your Uber eats to the door…amazing. The few ladies I interacted with to get refreshed towels, extra water, etc. amazing. But, I had an incident where an employee entered my room and came in while I was getting out of the shower and into my bathrobe. They made a mistake and I’m not upset with them as they apologized profusely and their supervisor immediately said they’d make it right and let me check out late the next day. Mistakes happen and I wasn’t upset at all and appreciated them making it right. Fast forward to when I go to check out and I’m interrogated on who I spoke with and the fact that appropriate notes hadn’t been left. I described the supervisor I spoke with and was told no one at the hotel fit that description. Lo and behold I mention another issue that happened during my stay and the employee/supervisor I was describing was the very same and they acknowledged that. Seems they are still working out far too many kinks for me to recommend staying here. Avoid and find either a better hotel accommodation or an...
Read moreWe were traveling from across the US, and from the moment we arrived from the airport to this hotel, it was such a great experience. The front office manager checked me and my daughter in, joked and laughed with us and made us feel welcome. The room was beautiful, and the balcony was the best part, in my opinion. My favorite spots are sitting on a good balcony, with a coffee and a good book. And it just happened to be raining that Saturday, so this one was just beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful, and accommodating. I usually sleep 5 to 6 hours a night, and I'm not a good sleeper, i don't take naps, and am a light sleeper, but the first night here I slept 10 1/2 hours, I most likely needed the sleep, but the bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable I've ever slept on. I just can't say enough about traveling from a different state and having such an all around great experience from the rooms to the people. It really made our trip special. The downside to this hotel that I have to add, and probably why these rooms are not more expensive, is there is a hospital with an emergency room about 2 blocks away, so your getting fire trucks blaring down the street below every so often, and even though the windows look like the hotel tried to make them sound proof, they just weren't. I read a review that stated this before I booked the hotel and bought some cheap silicone ear plugs, worked like a charm and only needed one plug because the other side of my head sunk into the big fluffy pillow. My opinion, from someone who loves taking weekend trips, and have been to 20+ hotels all over, despite the noise at night, this hotel is very much worth it. I highly...
