I have done a lot of budget travel in my 70 years and this was the absolute worst place I have ever stayed. There were actually dishonest reviews about this place, claiming that people traveling with a dog loved it because of the green areas (which do not exist), the free Wi-Fi (which does not exist because of router issues), there is no icemaker -but you get an ice bucket, the plumbing malfunctioned- shooting water all over the room when I tried to use the bathroom faucet, the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the wall and covered with spots of black mold, the ventilation fan was inoperable, the floor was dirty and no one answered the phone in the office. The motel itself is apparently a faraday cage because I could not use my cell phone in my room, and could not use the Internet data on my phone for the same reason. I had to leave the motel to be able to use my cell phone to look for a new place to stay, the phone in the room had no connection or dial tone, 2 of 3 lights in the bathroom were burned out, and the desk chair was broken down and barely usable. I locked my security bolt on my door and became TRAPPED inside the room. When no one heard me calling for help and I could not open the window above the air conditioning unit and could not get anyone on the phone in the office, I called 911 to get me out of my room. I booked through Expedia and told them I did not want to stay, and they told me I would have to leave immediately (after driving for eight hours), and not having another option,I told them that I needed to stay where I was overnight but that I wanted a refund for Saturday and Sunday. Expedia said that would depend on what the manager said. Allegedly the manager did not show up all weekend. I left a day early and did not get refunded. I will be extremely careful the next time I believe reviews online.

Please please PLEASE avoid at all costs to save you the time and stress. There are literally bed bugs inside of the room. I have killed 3 baby ones and there are still more being produced on the bed along with big ones. I have made a complaint to the worker at the receptionist desk, and they told me that they couldn’t cancel my booking until they had a word with their manager. Claimed to give me a call back on Monday when manager will come in but never did. I reserved through Expedia and had paid via Paypal so I am currently going through back to back companies trying to get a refund. After staying there for 3-4 hours, I realized that the reviews on here with other people’s complaints about the bed bug situation is still persisting and would not listen to their customers’ complaints to take action about this serious matter. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that they would have done something about it after the complaints but nothing. They gave me a business card and told me to call to follow up, but they would not answer their phone. Expedia even tried to call them as well and could not get a hold of them. I am starting to believe that they are intentionally not picking up any calls from anyone whatsoever with the intentions of scamming everyone with their money as I still cannot get a refund back. I also want to add that you can hear everything from outside so if you are a light sleeper, I would definitely not recommend. To all the convention go-ers and people visiting DC for the first time: do not book this place no matter how cheap it is and look elsewhere that will provide you a better experience than this. I find it laughable that there are a lot of fake spam accounts on here rating this a 5 star with no details to it these past few months just to save face and to help with their “reputation”.

***BEWARE BED BUGS*** WORST place ever, booked last week to stay one night for an event @ National Park Stadium. It was over a 2 hour drive to get here and were relying to stay the night. WE checked in, put our belongings away and left to our event. Came back to finally rest passing 1AM and could not even get 1 hour of sleep and SURPRISE we get bit by bed bugs!!! We make the reception aware of the situation and instead of apologizing he seems bothered or offended by making him aware! We asked for a refund and gentleman seemed like we were annoying him. He stated “well it’s too late now can’t go inspect the room” and even asked for “proof/pics” of the bugs. Asked him if he was the manager and after a long thought/pause he said yes. We had to leave and look to stay elsewhere. Keep in mind by this point it was like 2 am already. So disappointed. We did not ask for compensation as a result of getting checked up for the bites and inconvenience of having to stay elsewhere. They should consider themselves lucky…

Wow I can't believe this place is still in business! I wish there was an option for negative stars! I stayed here back in 2009 and had the worst experience of my life! My first room was dirty and I ended up switching it. Big mistake! I stayed in the motel for about 3 or 4 days. After about the 2nd night, I began to itch and I didn't think anything of it. By the time I was leaving the itch had progressed. I kept scratching and scratching. It got so bad my skin was inflamed and bleeding. Then came the quarter sized raised blotches all over my skin. No lie it was head to toe. I went to the ER they suspected I was having a reaction to bring bitten up badly by bed bugs. They had to give me the strongest level benadryl IV but it didn't help because I was so allergic to the bites. All in all I went to the ER, primary care, who sent me to a dermatologist, then allergist! None of those docs had ever seen bug bite patterns so aggressive! They said I'd been bit by both bed bugs and ticks. I racked up so much medical debt and I didn't have health insurance at the time so it took years to pay it all back! I confirmed that the bug bites obviously came from the hotel because my friend who shared the room with me in the other bed called me a week after the stay to let me know she had to see a doc due to bed bug bites. I hadn't told her what happening with me so it was coincidental she was suffering a similar diagnosis except her reaction wasnt as bad. Ultimately, I reached out to Motel 6 corp. but they said they weren't liable since it was independently owned. The hotel itself denied the bed bug allegations. I didn't have the means to sue them back then but I wish I'd done it anyway. This place is a disgrace and deserves to be shut down permanently and hotel management/ownership should be ashamed of themselves! DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING BIT UP BY BED BUGS Etc... The end certainly won't...
