Jessica was there to check us in, very friendly and professional. Super easy check in! Upon checking in we noticed our room didn’t seem super clean, the floor had stuff all over it as if it wasn’t vacuumed, there was a good amount of dust build up that was visible, the pillows were so flat they had no stuffing, and the bed was so worn and used you could see the indents where people slept. Breakfast wasn’t stocked well, front desk whom was stocking breakfast never used gloves or a hairnet, new “fresh” eggs were thrown on top of older eggs instead of traded out. The sausage patties were so cold I had to microwave them for 2 min to get them decent enough to eat, the coffee machine was down and not usable. There was a bar, but they didn’t serve food, and they were not open the hours they stated they’d be open.

Front desk guy was very helpful. Room could use a little more thorough cleaning as I found garbage from a previous stay inside the drawers. The celings could definitely use some dusting as well as you could see clumps of dust/dirt hanging from it. Breakfast was awesome. Full hot breakfast and variety of cold breakfast to choose from as well. I specifically stayed here on recommendations of full hot breakfast. You can definitely hear the people from the room next door and people above you. The walls are not paper thin, but they are thin enough to notice the sounds from other guests staying in the hotel.

An unexpected trip to my hometown on a holiday weekend landed us at the Best Western Hotel. Originally built in the early 90’s by my former boss, this hotel has undergone a refresh. Nothing fancy, but a comfortable bed, clean room and standard hotel breakfast. The cost for one night was a bit high, but it is a holiday weekend. Located on Hwy 12 with a bar/restaurant across the street, the hotel is also a 5 min drive from the cute downtown area. I will stay here again.

One of the Most Disgusting Hotel Experiences I've Ever Had – Avoid at All Costs

I’ve stayed at Best Westerns before and have always had great experiences—until this absolute nightmare. I booked this hotel expecting the same standard, but what I got instead was a dirty, disgusting, gnat-infested room and a staff that couldn’t care less. The moment I turned on the bathroom sink, a swarm—yes, a literal swarm—of gnats came flying out. It was revolting. My boyfriend and I tried to kill as many as we could, but they kept coming out of the drain. When we went to the front desk for help, the concierge came to inspect the room and told us he’d bring something to spray. We asked for a different room, which seemed like a reasonable request considering we were sharing the space with a cloud of insects, and were told the hotel was “sold out” with no other options and zero compensation. When the employee returned, he sprayed a toxic-smelling insecticide directly into the sink—no warning, no care, just a heavy dose of chemicals in a small, poorly ventilated room. When we expressed concern about inhaling the fumes, we were coldly told, “The windows open,” as if that solved everything. No apology. No responsibility. Just complete indifference. To make matters worse, the rest of the room was filthy. The shower floor was stained, the carpet looked like it hadn’t seen a vacuum in weeks, one of the lights didn’t work, the bed had a mystery stain, and there was another stain on the wall. Disgusting doesn’t even begin to cover it. We asked for the manager and were told she “wasn’t in” and weren’t even offered a number to reach her. Classic dodge. This hotel is a complete embarrassment to the Best Western name. If you value cleanliness, customer service, and not being treated like a nuisance when you bring up legitimate health concerns, stay far away...

This hotel is basic. Nothing special. And I expect better from a Best Western. The front entrance has no handicap door!??!! Not sure how a disabled person could enter the building…hello ADA??? The smell of chlorine from the pool/hot tub area is very noticeable as soon as you walk into the lobby. The elevator is easily accessible from the front desk. Our room was “modified” handicap accessible, even tho we didn’t request an accommodation. The toilet was so low to the floor it was like falling into a hole every time we used it. Thank goodness there were plenty of grab bars, both for the toilet and the shower. Biggest hairdryer I’ve ever seen in a hotel room! The room smelled good and was clean. The screened windows opened on the 2nd floor to allow for fresh air which was awesome. The black out curtains worked well, however the lights from the hallway were visible around the entire room door frame. Bed linens were clean but sub par; coarse and wrinkled. Same with bath towels. Functional, but thin and small. Ran out of Kleenex. Ample outlets though out the room and nightstands were good sized with a convenient open shelf for additional space. Fridge worked. Water was hot and good shower water pressure. The in room coffee pot was left dirty. And the last guest has emptied the grounds into the water reservoir making it inoperable without cleaning the whole thing out in the bathroom sink. Breakfast was adequate. Hot and cold choices with plenty of fresh fruit offerings. However there were no hot cups by the coffee machine in the breakfast area. If you wanted a cup to hold hot liquid you had to get it from the lobby(??!) In conclusion: basic, functional place to stay, somewhat shabby, with little attention to detail. You could do a lot better...

Booked a stay for 2 nights as this was a reasonably price hotel. We will not be staying here again. The room was definitely not the cleanest. I found more than a handful of hairs on our "clean sheets." There was no remote for the TV which itself was blury and subpar. (Went to the front desk after checking all the places. They had to find batteries for another one) The shower knob was finicky. There were places in the room that obviously were NOT cleaned, (floors by bed, windowsills, coffee maker, fridge...) The desk drawers were broken and the sink drain was slow. With all this, we grinned and bared it. The only thing on our kids minds was swimming, which is why we booked a hotel with a pool. The pool was spacious and the hot tub was fine. My kids and husband went swimming 4 times and took showers after. HOWEVER, my kids are now complaining of itchy skin and have rashy spots. I know the chlorine levels in hotels are a bit high but in the case of kids and sensitive skin, this was way too much. Never again. Breakfast was OK. The coffee maker should be cleaned. When I got a cup of hot water, there were flakes of stuff in it. This place needs some updates which I don't see happening anytime soon, unfortunately. When I booked this hotel, there was only one kind of room available. (Standard double queen) The other rooms (King or a room with a whirlpool in it) were "not available. We came on a Thursday and stayed til Saturday. There seemed to be only a few other cars on Thursday night which has me wondering how many rooms that were not available actually were"out of...
