Travel comes with my job and I stay at a lot of 2 star hotels. This is not only the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever encountered, but the worst hotel. Now, I get it, 2 star hotel, expectations are low but dirty sheets, cob webs in the corners, mold in the bathroom and shitty service are just insult to injury. Pulled back the bed sheets the first night and the pillows were covered in what I’m telling myself is makeup. I picked up the phone to call for new pillowcases because it was too late to have someone come change the whole bed. The phone didn’t work. Lovely. I’ll walk downstairs. Got new pillow cases and asked the next day that my bed be made with new sheets. Got back that night, the sheets had never been changed as they were still covered in hair that wasn’t mine. I took a video of the worms in the bathroom and the black mold in the shower but apparently can’t post it with this review.
While I always joke Hampton Inn coffee is consistently mediocre, it still gets me through my make up application in the morning. Too bad. This Hampton Inn’s coffee makers were apparently ALL missing the tray for the coffee bag. Not a single one had it, in the entire hotel. Wild.
We won’t talk about the unknown white substance on the bed skirt…I just can’t.
While I’m glad I didn’t have to sleep outside on the streets, I expect better when I’m spending money. So, if ya want your forearms to stick to the tables at breakfast, mold in your shower, and unknown hairs in your bed, I highly recommend. Otherwise, stay in another town and pay extra for Ubers or...
Read moreTo start I had stayed here the previous month and found the service decent. Therefore I decided to book again this month. I had a booking from 7/18/24 to 7/21/24 and when I arrived at 1:40am after driving 8 hours from Maryland I was ready to get to bed. However, when I went to check in I was told that I cannot get a room since servers went down. I paid in advance for a room and yet I cannot get a room? It is ridiculous.
Not only me but another guest inquired and offered solutions and potential accommodations yet the man at the reception desk who was quite rude and defensive said he could not do anything besides directing us towards another hotel. He told us that he texted his manager and that he was told to call the Hilton 1-800 number. So it seems that the manager offered no solution as well. We waited at that hotel for more than an hour and when inquired they could not give us a time for when we would be able to get a room. We were told it could be hours or even days. It was also mentioned by the man at the receptionist desk that it was not the first time that their servers went down. If this is not the first time then should there not be measures put in place to accommodate guests? We left our number and name and it was said we would receive a call back but...
Read moreUpon my first arrival the gentleman at the counter was RUDE SO RUDE and seemed more concerned with his poker game on his phone, I was on business with my company and room was pre paid per corporate account and this guy would not let me check in without a authorization form, mind you I have an email from my company and authorization/ reservation confirmation email from my company that I have a room reserved for me for the week and he would not let me check in . I had to wait for over 30 minutes for my boss to reply to me and do whatever he had to do do to get me checked in and even then the rude CSR was reluctant to check me in however he gave me my room key and without hesitation did not say anything word about me being inconvenienced what a joke. Got to my room and boy was i in for a surprise, the room had a mildew smell mixed with a cigarette smoke smell and was super filthy, I mean EVERYTHING bed , sheets, covers, floor bathroom, mini fridge that barely worked and smelled of old Indian food to include the hallways and any other aspect of this hotel . So sorry for the long post but very, very dissatisfied with Hilton, Hampton and their affiliates . We had our company move us the next day and would never return to their hotels ever again for business...
