I went in to order a banner for my business for a huge event that I had coming up. The event is on a Saturday and I went in on a Tuesday to order my banner, and I was told that it would be completed either Wednesday or Thursday.
I ended up working late so I didn’t get to pick it up on Thursday and when I went in Friday evening to pick it up after not being able to find my order in the store or in the computer they called the associate who helped me. At which point she informed them that she had called me and left me a message and stated that my order could not be complete.
So going to my voice messages, I found that she had indeed called me on Friday morning, less than 24 hours before my event, and two days after my banner was supposed to be complete and left me a message saying they couldn’t do the order.
Of course, because I was at work I couldn’t address or deal with anything until I found all of this out while standing in their store, at which point no compensation or offer of assistance or anything, was offered to me.
The manager explain to me why the order couldn’t be completed which I understand. The problem is they called me two days after the order was supposed to be completed to tell me that it couldn’t be done leaving me with not enough time to come up with an alternative… I will never support this store again not just this branch, but just Office Depot in general has completely lost my business.
Again, I understand the reason the banner couldn’t be made but to call somebody two days after it’s supposed to be done is totally unacceptable to me and the customer service that I was met with was horrendous.
The only one that was worth a damn was the customer experience manager, who tried to explain things to me, but again by that point, there was nothing else...

HOWEVER, this particular Office Depot is heads and shoulders above the rest in terms of the one thing they have control over. Customer service. I bought a desk for a great price, and took it home to assemble. 50% of the way through gluing and locking and screwing I found a broken part.
I called them up just as they were closing but they answered and said there was no reason to work with the manufacturer, they had an extra desk and I could bring in the broken part and they'd give me a good one from the extra desk box they had. In addition they said since they were limited on how many were left they'd leave a message with the morning shift to make sure to reserve one for me.
You know you can't always trust such things so I showed up soon after they opened ready to re-explain everything. Instead as soon as I walked in with my desk board the woman in front said "You must be Doug, we had a message about your problem, let me go grab the part we reserved for you".

Read moreThe worst and the most unprofessional service I have ever had, bought a desk from the store and I was informed that shipping will be in 1-2 days, had to cancel my work as I signed up for Apollo service that they will send a technician to assemble my desk,the shipment was delayed and I didn't get it, had to call the office depot distribution center who informed me that I will get the shipping later in few days , guess what had to cancel my work again to wait for the technician, didn't get the shipment on time again and had to wait for a freaken 60 mins on the phone to call the distribution center again who told me the shipment was routed to a wrong place and it will be returned and you will get a refund!!! Without any damn communication, now I have to call again to get refund on Appollo service. Horrible and very unprofessional experience they deserve less...
