The donuts are definitely not bad. Fresh Deli & Donuts is definitely #1. Donut Boy is close to our house so we would frequent it at times. The last time my wife went to get donuts, they charged her $27.00 for 1 dozen regular mixed and 4 chocolate bars. They charged her $10.00 more than they should have & when I called them to let them know, they said they would not be able to do anything about it. I know we didn’t frequent the store much because when you have somewhere you favor because the quality and the service, it’s hard to just switch up. But at least we wanted to go back to donut boy when it was convenient, and maybe more in the future we might have been a more loyal customer. But some buisiness’s will take advantage of you for a measly $10.00 and not worry about future return buisiness. They certainly lost our buisiness and we will continue to use Deli & Donuts on 2700 s State St. Brenda there is such a sweet & friendly lady and the donuts really are the best in not just Utah, but anywhere else I had donuts in the country. I do give Donut Boy credit for having delicious donuts cause they do. But to take advantage of my wife was and charge her $10.00 more than she should have paid, then not re emburst us was petty and they forever lost a potential future...
Read moreThese donuts are incredible! I'm not a huge donut fan, and in the past only liked fresh, hot glazed donuts because everywhere else I've tried donuts they taste dry, old or have a bad texture. These are amazing and they have unique flavors that go above and beyond. The "cheesecake" ones are amazing. We got a half dozen and tried the strawberry cheesecake, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, blueberry cheesecake, raspberry filled, maple bacon and buttermilk twist. The strawberry cheesecake has actual slices of strawberries in it which I loved. The blueberry filling was super yummy and not bitter. The donuts tasted soft and fresh. These donuts are definitely super sweet but I wouldn't go to a donut shop and really expect different. The service was kind and quick. When I went, there were about four customers ahead of me and customers coming in after I left so it seems like they have good business which they rightfully deserve. I went around 9am and they still had almost all the flavors, so if there is something specific you want to try or get, call ahead to make sure it's there or get there early. Their packaging is very fun and well done in my opinion. If you live within 30 minutes of this place, skip the other donut places and...
Read moreMoved from back east where mom and pop donut shops and bakeries are on every other corner and it’s been 15 years here in Salt Lake... people would rave about chains and I was happy years ago when I discovered a “beyond” place in Draper when it was still located in a modular building off a frontage road... I’m willing to go out of my way but the search for the perfect donut wasn’t going so well... UNTIL Donut Boy!!! Had two dozen delivered this morning by a 3rd party company. One dozen gourmet and one dozen of the more classic. I have to say... best I’ve had in all those 15 years. This isn’t a fad of fun trusting on a boring donut or like any of the chains. These donuts are basically perfect! And I’ve sampled a little too thoroughly, as I’m on my 3rd!!! I definitely recommend not just for the creative and beautiful gourmet, but for a classic sugar twist done better than anything else in town. Totally worth the trip or delivery fee and I definitely suggest more...
