Valley Fair Mall proved to be an underwhelming and disappointing shopping destination. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the mall lacked the charm and vibrancy one would expect from a modern shopping center.
One of the most frustrating aspects of my visit was the lackluster selection of stores. Despite the mall's large size, it seemed to be filled with generic chain stores that can be found in any suburban shopping center. The absence of unique and independent retailers made the shopping experience mundane and unexciting.
Furthermore, the mall's interior was in desperate need of a facelift. Dingy and outdated, the decor failed to create an inviting atmosphere. The poorly maintained facilities, including worn-out carpets and malfunctioning escalators, added to the overall sense of neglect.
Navigating the mall was a confusing and inconvenient task. The layout was poorly designed, making it challenging to find specific stores or amenities. The lack of clear signage and directory boards left visitors feeling lost and frustrated.
In addition to the lackluster shopping experience, the dining options at Valley Fair Mall were equally disappointing. The food court consisted mainly of fast-food chains, offering limited choices for those seeking a diverse and enjoyable dining experience.
Parking at the mall was another nightmare. The parking lots were crowded and poorly organized, leading to a frustrating search for a parking spot. Additionally, the lack of security presence in the parking area raised concerns about the safety and well-being of visitors and their vehicles.
In conclusion, my visit to Valley Fair Mall was far from satisfactory. With its generic stores, run-down interior, confusing layout, uninspiring dining options, and frustrating parking situation, the mall failed to deliver a pleasant shopping experience. It is evident that significant improvements are needed to revitalize Valley Fair Mall and make it a more appealing destination...
Read moreYou have to give Valley Fair Mall credit for staying busy during a time when most shopping malls are closing their doors. Between the shops in the actual mall, and the myriad businesses in the buildings surrounding it, there are a lot of shopping options. However, that success is one of the reasons I avoid it: there are towns that are smaller than the Valley Fair parking lot, and if you enter on the opposite side of where you actually want to park, it can take forever to drive around, especially if the mall is busy. Even if you're in basically the right place, passing through all the stop signs and intersections can be kind of harrowing as people come speeding in off the street, impatient and aggressive because they've been waiting at a red light while multiple Trax trains passed by. The other reason I avoid VF Mall is because of the roving gangs. They don't usually bother bystanders, but in an effort to combat them, VF has hired lots of security, and the WVC police maintain a constant, heavy presence. I wouldn't say I've ever felt unsafe there, but considering that one can go to Fashion Place Mall and shop somewhere that doesn't feel like a bad 90s South Central LA movie, I don't find much cause to visit VF. Judging my the enormous amount of people there most days though, I don't think it's in any danger of going out of business...
Read moreExperience at the T-Shirt Mart
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share our recent experience at this store. Two of my sons were shopping at T-Shirt Mart, specifically looking for Pro Club shirts, when they were rudely approached by a man who I assume is the owner. He loudly accused them of taking shirts off the hangers which they weren’t doing and told them to leave, claiming the store was closing. It was not; they still had about 30 minutes before the posted closing time.
My son called me, clearly upset and startled by how they were being treated. I went into the store to ask if they were indeed closed, and instead of a simple answer, the man began yelling, saying “It’s my store, I can close whenever I want!” and told me to leave. When I said there was no need to be rude and mentioned I would be filing a complaint, he became even more aggressive for no reason.
There was absolutely no justification for the way he treated my sons or myself. We came in as paying customers with a specific purpose, and instead we were met with hostility. It was an unprofessional and uncomfortable experience, and I truly hope no one else has to go through...
