I've been following 2nd Street on Instagram and was thrilled to see one opening in Westfield. I am in the vintage clothing industry and decided to bring a few things up to sell and to check out the store as well. I love vintage clothing and I was excited to see what they carried. The minute I walked in the door I was greeted by Eli, who was so pleasent and helpful and a great first impression of this beautiful shop. I left a few things with him to go through and went off to explore the racks. The store was jam-packed with such a fantastic variety of vintage and gently used clothing, shoes, handbags etc.. and merchandised so beautifully I didn't know where to start. I spent about 2 hours going through everything! And was so impressed with the variety of things, the quality and the pricing, I found so many gems, so inexpensive it was unbelievable. They had everything you could imagine as a clothing lover, and reseller, this place is my new absolute favorite spot. Eli was so knowledgeable and helpful the whole time I was there, it was so refreshing to see a company that truly cares about the customers experience. I was given a fantastic price for the luxury items I brought in, which I then turned around and spent some on an arm load of treasures. I found a vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycle jacket, a gorgeous vintage black leather bomber jacket with sequin sleeves, a pretty anthropologie hand knit beautifully embroidered peplum sweater, a vintage Backstreet Boys vintage Tshirt, a gorgeous vintage Diane Von Furstenberg full length slip dress and a vintage pair of cowboy boots, all for around $120!! Unbelievable. I plan on going back in the next day or two to see what else I can find. As I was shopping they were constantly filling the racks with new gorgeous items, I'm excited to see what I'll find next! What a great store and such a great experience, thank you to the sweet girls behind the counter but especially to Eli, I'll be spreading the word and I'll see you in...
Read moreI would give no stars if I could. Absolutely disgusted by my experience. The inventory here is mediocre at best, but that’s not even the worst part. I brought in high-end clothing, pieces from Saks, Neiman Marcus, etc. and was given a price quote for only some of the items. I was shown a small selection with insultingly low prices, but after driving quite a distance, I reluctantly agreed.
After leaving, I realized not all of my items were accounted for. I called immediately, only to be told that a bin of my clothing which was never referenced, shown, or discussed with me, was also taken in and sold for $1 per item. Clothing worth hundreds, sold without my consent, for one dollar.
When I told the manager this was absolutely unacceptable and that I never would have agreed to that, he coldly responded that “there are no returns.” So essentially, they stole from me. There’s no other word for it.
Shady, dishonest, and exploitative. If you value your time, your money, or basic decency. Stay far away...
Read moreEarlier today, my gay best friend and I walked into 2nd Street in Westfield and we were greeted by a staff member named Kevin. The two of us had been looking to get an offer for our clothing items, thinking they would relay us a fair offer. Kevin called us back in less than 15 minutes when they originally told us it would take an hour to fully estimate our belongings. That alone was concerning because it made us believe they didn't even fully estimate our belongs full value. We were looking to sell over 30 items combined, consisting of 10 designer apparel items in good condition and no older than 5 years a piece. Once we got told our final estimate value, we were appalled at the sell value of $31.45 for all 30 items combined; we were disappointed and confused. We felt as if it wasn't worth taking time out of our day to go there and...
