I feel like was discriminated against. I paid for 4 nights 10/18/17 with check out 10/12/17. I had one pet. A little Chihuahua. I was told there was a pet deposit of $100, although I've stayed at Motel 6 for 3 months earlier this year and never paid a pet deposit. But anyway, I was told up front, if I use a credit or debit, the card will be charged at the time of check out and ONLY if there were damages from the pet. I went to work came back 9hrs later, and before my foot even touched the inside of the room the room phone rang. It was the office asking me to come down. My kids were there since there was no school so I'm thinking they did something. The lady in the front preceded to tell me and I quote " I've been watching your room all day and the dog never went out (mind you I took her out before I went to work) " and you need to pay me $100 for the dog or get out in the morning" Which made no sense after why I was told upon check in. She then tried to charge my card several times to get the$100 which was nsf mind you since I just paid 269for 4nights. Needless to say the police got involved. This lady was rude unprofessional and a racist I believe. We have filed a suit with a lawyer to determine if racism was a part and of proper protocol was used. And to be watching my room with 100's of other rooms on that property, why we're we singled out? And why was my card charged before check out. She also told me I needed to check out the next day to check the room. Like really, you couldn't check the room without me checking out?!! Needless to say there were no damages from my dog at all and there seem to have been a small camera mounted on the TV which could be how she managed to "watch us" all day. Never again will I go to Motel 6. 7960 West Freeway Fort Worth, TX 76108 White Settlement. You do not treat people that way! Oh fyi needless to say there were dogs all on the property big dogs mind you and...
Read moreI like Motel 6. They are a good chain, inexpensive and you generally know what you are going to get.
This place was a typical Motel 6, and I'm not sure if it was just bad timing or what...but the first room we went into had cockroaches. Honestly, I was an entomology major, I know roaches are a pain. They are usually brought in with guests and when you try and spray, they just move from room to room.
That said, I'm gonna tell ya, I wasn't planning on leaving with any new pets, so I asked for a new room. The desk clerk sprayed the old room while we were unloading the car, so at least they are on top of it.
They also didn't have any soap or shampoo in the room, but that could have been because we switched rooms.
Other than that drama, it was quiet and comfortable.
If you are a frequent traveler, I recommend a couple things to make these budget hotels tolerable. 1. Sanitary wipes for wiping the remote, counter and any other grime the housekeeping staff usually ignores. 2. Bring your own pillows and soap. That way you aren't devastated if it's missing and 3. Learn to check for bugs under the microwave and sink. That's where they like to live. If you see cockroaches or any little brown bugs, get the manager. They will come home with you and infest your house if you aren't careful. It isn't worth it to stay in a roach infested room.
The staff was really nice and the location was convenient, although I wouldn't go roaming around...
Read moreFirst off most of the good reviews probably are from the regulars that seem to live there, idk who is cleaning the rooms , they need to be trained thoroughly, the floors were dirty, the bedding had stains n cigarette burn holes in them that is so disgusting, found other peoples hair in the bedding, lift the sheets and you find black dirt on mattresses. No pillow case on pillows good thing we had our own. When we step outside there was all kinds of drug/ trafficking n other stuff going on , ppl drinking as well in the parking lot...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO BRING YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS MOTEL, we travel for business and usually stay at la quinta inn n suites which are always clean , n would of stayed at their hotel , they were booked so thought well most motel6 are ok for 1 night...my advice to the owners of this motel make sure the maids yr paying actually clean the rooms n get handle on what's going on in this motel n around it. There is no amenities in room , the towels look so poorly n smell horrible , they seem to be using prostition/drug/homeless to maintain the motel HONESTLY THEY NEED TO BE...
