I really enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend this non-smoking hotel to anyone visiting the Whitefish, MT area. Very good location (6510 Highway 93, Whitefish, MT). Very good service at the front desk (Kristen is very nice and polite - ask her about her cute cat). You will get 2 bottles of water during the check-in. Pet friendly hotel but on the 3rd floor no dogs are allowed. There is also a small gift shop in the lobby.||I got a nice and spacious suite on the top floor. It was even nicer than I expected. My room was a king suite with a gas fireplace, spacious, comfy. I had all I needed. I really liked the king bed, the dressers, the nightstands with lamps and electric outlets and USB ports. Free high-speed Internet. It was nice to have a kitchenette with sink, small fridge, microwave and countertop. ||If you want to relax during the night, there is a flat screen TV above the fireplace, armchair, ottoman (pouf), coffee table and a sofa bed. There are 2 AC/Heat systems, a wardrobe where you will find an ironing board & iron. The bathroom is very large and includes a standup shower and a jet tub that I did not have a chance to try. ||The Best Western Rocky Mountain has a fenced outdoor pool (5 ft) accessible from the lobby and adjacent to the nice Game room. Free 24/7 coffee bar (+ hot water) in the lobby. FREE full hot breakfast in a large room which is worth getting up for (opens between 6:30 to 9:30). Access to 2 computers in the lobby with a printer. Workout room. Laundry room available until 10 pm. Enough parking stalls around the hotel. ||The hotel is in a very good location: there is a Safeway grocery store within short walking distance, and right across the street you have a McDonald's and Superfoods (opens 24 hrs with a pharmacy) that I suggest to go if you need to buy food or a soft serve ice cream: kid 25 cents, adult 99 cents 😊 ||From Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge you have easy access to local attractions (golf, city beach, etc.), amenities, and about 30 minutes drive to Glacier National Park (a MUST SEE). This hotel has a convenient shuttle airport, shuttle to downtown (no taxi needed), and during winter season a ski shuttle service. ||Try the Best Western Rocky Mountain Lodge. You won’t be disappointed.||P.S. The hotel is well maintained and clean but if you do not like the carpet, if it doesn’t look modern enough for you, if it does not appeal to your “fancy style”, then book somewhere else and be ready to pay double or more and to waste your precious...
Read moreAdmittedly, I arrived at this hotel on 5 April 2021, the Monday after Easter, at around 10:30pm, but I have always wanted to write this review: I drove for two days straight from Southern California, arrived exhausted and hungry, asking for their cheapest available bed. It was the off-season, and there were plenty of vacant rooms. The woman at the front desk, medium-height, thin, blonde, articulate (I wish I could remember her name) was very cheerful, friendly and accommodating. The place was charming, very much evoking the northern-alpine lodge atmosphere it purports. Maybe it was thanks to the time of year—and the fact I'd been breathing desert wind, sand, dust, cow fumes, rain, frost, sleet, chill wind for 48+ hours—but the room I entered was spacious and pristine, and I fell exhausted into the king-sized bed. I can't actually comment on the stay as I was out before dawn and back after dusk each day, trying to maximize the time I spent at GNP, but the few staff members that I met were always welcoming if not outright delightful. (As a side-note: the days I spent here were clear, bright and sunny, despite the signs of recent heavy snows and storms; and all the staff were quick to comment on how unseasonably warm the weather was while I was there. Not important, but it certainly added to the charm.) I hope to go back next Spring 2024, and I hope there will be a room available when we arrive well...

The complimentary breakfast is much like every other Best Western. The menu changes day by day but only slightly. The usual fare is eggs, scrambled, bacon or sausage, potatoes. There are two waffle machines as well. Some pastries and coffee. There's also fruit in yogurt. Cold cereals. Toast and bagels.
Glacier National Park is about a 40-minute drive from the hotel.
We noticed this hotel is very popular with tour groups. Buses of tourists and adventurers stay here on a regular basis. To us, that means the hotel tour agencies seem to get along very well and have a symbiotic business relationship with each other. That says a lot about the quality of service the hotel provides.
We would definitely...
