My husband and I have stayed twice (more than three months each time) at Whitefish RV Park and have thoroughly enjoyed the park and our hosts, Tom and Denise. This couple has a hospitality experience, are a great team and run the park on a level that is nothing less than outstanding, professional and friendly!
We had a full hookup space for our 44' toy hauler. It was groomed nicely and very level. The hosts recently had the older concrete picnic tables replaced with new wooden ones which was nicer and warmer to sit on in the spring. No issues with the sewer hook up. There is a dump station near the entrance if you have a site without a sewer hook up. Our electric service was very affordable and worked well. We experienced a strong storm which knocked down electric poles around town causing a power outage, so be sure your generator is in working condition. The water is so good and the pressure was also good. Our stay was over the winter but with proper preparation and insulation, we didn't have any freezing water issues HOWEVER a neighbor at the other end of the row did have a problem. Their hydrant froze up two times which caused the water needing to be turned off to be repaired. This inconvenience was resolved by Tom as timely as possible under the winter conditions. If you should stay over the winter like we did, it's imperative you follow the instructions given to you by Tom and Denise to avoid water freezing problems, inconveniencing you neighbors and costly repairs to the park!!!
The park is in town but you feel like you are in a little forest. You will see the local deer family walk through the park in the evening! Squirrels, local wild turkeys and geese are around to enjoy.
We used the WiFi that had recently been upgraded and were able to stream common services like Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu. etc. The restrooms and showers are professionally cleaned. The back up laundry choice for me was at the nearby Pin and Cue. It's more costly than the park laundry but they do have big front loader washing machines and they have a nice little restaurant you can enjoy while you are there.
The park is close enough to enjoy all the fun things that the Flathead Valley has to enjoy AND also the shopping you need as a traveler and generally within walking distance. There is a grocery store, an ACE Hardware, Sportsman & Ski Haus sporting goods store, my local favorite coffee shop - Cowgirl Coffee, Postal Annex, veterinary clinic, Army Navy surplus and outdoor goods, a new self serve car wash that can handle your large RV, Les Schwab Tire Shop and many others. If you can't find something you need, just ask Tom or Denise and they can point you in the right direction ;-)
We like traveling with our dogs and they are welcome at Whitefish RV Park. Please keep this park and all RV parks pet friendly and clean up after your pet! We have a German Shepherd and there is NO pretending to walk away from her potty mess however there was lots of evidence of irresponsible dog owners which puts there rest of us in a bad light. Pet poop bags are available in the laundry room for FREE, so not having one on you is NO EXCUSE!
I hope this review will assist you in making your decision to enjoy your stay in the Flathead Vlaley at Whitefish RV Park, we certainly did! Tell Tom & Denise we sent you and say HELLO!

Read moreWe couldn't have had a better experience than we did at Whitefish RV Park! While we are normally more secluded campers we found this being a great option for so many types of campers who are looking for access to amenities like clean showers and bathrooms, hookups and more. We caught a bug and were down for a few days and Whitefish RV Park provided the respite and comfort we wanted while on the road. It wasn't home, but close.
The facility itself sits back off the main highway just enough so most of the traffic noise is minimized, though you'll still here the loud trucks...again, not too bad. The team here cares about their facility and it shows. The bathrooms were spotless, cleaned regularly and well maintained. Each site was raked after the last guest left, providing a fresh look for the new tenants The little touches like WiFi, flowers and an area to take the dog for a quick poddy break were welcome.
The closeness of Glacier and the town of Whitefish itself lends this location to be very good. Anything you'd need; groceries, drugstores, camping gear, etc. are all a stonesthrow away.
Whitefish RV was the perfect place for us to recuperate and prepare for what was around the next bend...
Read moreWe camped 2 nights in site 32. This is a smaller campground, close to town and the hill, which is why we picked it. It was quiet and people were respectfully. Unfortunately on our first morning we woke up to everything covered in a sticky sap. It was rather extreme and starting our day cleaning chairs, RV mats etc for an hour was less than ideal. I do suspect it was honeydew produced by insects infesting the large leaf trees behind us. If you google honeydew you will see it’s less appealing than its name suggests. The second night we put everything away and couldn’t sit out so that was disappointing. Understanding these things happen. A little heads up would have been nice. I’m taking a star off for our sticky experience and one more because there are only 2 showers in each mens and women’s and the mens only had one operational. We also found it to be in need of cleaning more than once. I understand we visited on a busy weekend but feel it could have been managed better. Unfortunately we did not see management again after check in to address our concerns. All in all it was ok, but I would keep away from areas...
