A firm night's sleep. Sadly, a bit too firm for my liking and surprising for a Marriott-branded hotel where most of the beds at their locations are typically softer. Other than that, the breakfast selection is decent, nothing spectacular but filling and tasty with two to four 'hot' items to choose from among the many other non-cooked breakfast items found at most other hotel chains. This location is just 2.5 years old (from the writing of this review) according to the manager at the front desk. With that 'newness' comes items that work well from the plumbing fixtures to the electrical items like the TV and A/C system. The air conditioning is one of the more quiet systems I've experienced which is nice. The A/C has a subtle 'white noise' but not sounding like you're at a manufacturing plant. I showed about 3 out of 4 bars of WiFi reception on my computer in the middle room of the second floor with reasonable speed for most tasks except for streaming movies from Netflix. The rooms were quiet thanks to well insulated walls and floors. An example of the very good insulation; another family member had a room right next to the elevator shaft and other than the slight 'ding' sound you could hear from the front door area, you could not hear the elevator moving up or down at all, so having a room next to the elevator is not an issue at this hotel! Overall, I could give this hotel 5 stars if it were not for the very firm beds. Granted, it is not like sleeping on concrete, compared to some lower-end hotels. However, if you're looking for a softer bed, I have stayed at the Comfort Suites immediately next door to this hotel and have found that would be a better choice solely for the softer bed. All of the other features I have mentioned about this Fairfield Inn is equal/comparable to the Comfort...
Read moreI’m writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience I had during my recent stay at your Marriott property. As a long-time Marriott Bonvoy rewards member who frequently travels for both business and leisure, I’ve come to expect a certain level of service—something that was unfortunately not met during this visit.
Prior to arrival, I sent a message through the app requesting a late checkout on Sunday. I was advised to ask at check-in, which I did upon arrival at 3:30 PM on Saturday. When I requested a 1:30 PM checkout, I was abruptly told that only a 12 PM checkout was allowed, despite low occupancy and it being a Sunday.
Additionally, my profile clearly states a preference for a high-floor room due to security concerns, yet I was initially placed on the first floor. When I raised this, my room was changed—but to an ADA-accessible room, which I did not request and did not need. It gave the impression that because I redeemed points for this stay rather than paying cash, I was treated with less regard.
Later that evening, I received another message saying late checkout was only for Gold members. This is inaccurate, as the Marriott website clearly states that extended checkout is subject to availability and applicable to my status as well. This inconsistency and lack of clarity was frustrating.
This entire situation could have been resolved easily with a bit of flexibility. Ironically, when I asked again at 9:30 AM on Sunday, the front desk agent did grant a 1 PM checkout with no issue.
To add to my dissatisfaction, the complimentary breakfast at 9:05 AM had no eggs or bacon remaining—a first in my experience...
Read moreRoom and facilities were beautiful, well maintained, and clean. 2 issues we did experience: 1) the hotel website quoted us $179 when on the front page, but when you go to reserve it turns into $235 plus tax because there was "only one room left, and it's a suite". Malarkey. The parking lot was mostly empty. 2)My husband and I arrived late, like midnight, took a shower, watched some TV and went to bed about 230 after unwinding. I double checked with the front office and they told me it was a 12pm check out. Great, I can sleep in! When we got to the room we noticed there was no lock bar, or do not disturbed sign, but we figured, 'oh, its a nice hotel, we dont need a lock bar', but then at 830 in the freaking morning, housekeeping walks into our room. They may have knocked, but I was dead asleep. Guess who was suddenly wide awake and sleep deprived? This gal! It took me a solid hour to relax enough to go back to sleep...then guess what, AGAIN AT 1030 IN THE MORNING housekeeping knocks and I'm shouting "OCCUPIED, WERE IN HERE, DONT COME IN". AND THEY STILL TRIED TO COME IN! I couldn't go back to sleep again after that. What is the point of having a noon check out if periodically starting at 830am random people enter your room and wake you up? As a trauma survivor, that type of stuff triggers my anxiety something fierce. I used to work housekeeping, and I'm not mad at the housekeeping staff, but I might suggest to management that you find a way to communicate with the housekeeping staff who has checked out and...
