Went into Worcester on Tuesday. We drove past the 110 Grill and thought it looked like a great place to eat. We went inside and the hostess asked us how many were in our party, we replied 2. It all sounds simple enough but she looked around the restaurant and seemed confused. There were numerous open booths and seats so this was a little odd. The hostess excused herself and went to get another employee, who came over and after some brief conversation with each other, she again asked us how many. There were still only 2 of us. Ok, little bit of a weird beginning but not a huge deal. We were seated and our waitress came over. She was friendly and sweet. Her service throughout our visit was professional and she did a great job. Let me digress though. We ordered an appetizer and our meals at the same time. Fried pickles, a pulled pork sandwich and a medium rare cheeseburger with bacon. Nothing complicated, nothing outrageous. We waited. Our appetizer came out within a reasonable time frame but we waited 45 minutes to an hour for our food. There were 4 people behind that grill. We watched other customers, who came in after us, receive and eat their food before we had even been served ours. Frustrating to say the least. Once our food finally arrived, my medium rare cheeseburger was raw inside. When I say raw, I mean I noticed it, my lunch date noticed it and our waitress who had just walked past our table noticed it. She stopped and politely said she’d take it back to have it cooked longer for me. Ok. We wait again. After about 20 minutes, the waitress said they had put a new burger on the grill for me and it shouldn’t be long. Ok. We wait some more. My lunch date had finished his meal at this point, so I nicely asked our waitress for the check and to just have them box the burger up for me. Then we waited some more. After about 10 minutes, I lost my patience. I signed the bill and included a tip (none of this was the waitresses fault) and we left. I paid $14.50 for a cheeseburger that I never ate or even received for that matter. Two of my daughters are in the restaurant business. They work in a fairly upscale establishment. One is a manager and one is a waitress. I try to be fair and open minded but this was just ridiculously unacceptable. I’m not sure exactly what was so complicated about a medium rare cheeseburger but if that throws your grill masters so far off the radar that a customer ends up with a raw burger or nothing at all, you’ve got some big issues. I emailed 110 grill about this experience and never received an acknowledgment. I’m only giving it 2 stars because the waitress was really nice and the...
Read moreWe wanted to dine outdoors to celebrate the end of the school year/ belated Father's Day dinner with my family last evening. Being a Monday a ton of our usual places were closed. I looked around and found 110 Grille. I scheduled a reservation for patio even though it was a Monday and it would likely not be too busy. Arrival and seating were no issue. There were 5-7 other tables with people in the entire place when we arrived 6:30. Once seated, service was unexpectedly slow given how quiet it was customers wise. We ordered drinks, which arrived in reasonable time. There was another decent delay between drinks and opportunity to order food so we decided to put app and dinner orders in at same time. Then we watched as another table were seated, order taken and dinner served while we waited for just our app, this right before a different team member came out, presumably the manager apologizing for the app not coming out and that she was taking it off the tab as dinner was now ready well and would be out momentarily. As we started on the app, dinner arrived. Now this is the kicker. It had been up for who knows how long. French Fries cold across multiple orders, tomato bisque had firmed up, fried fish on the taco's, cold, noodles in the ahi bowl fused together from not being adequately stirred and stuck to bottom of the pot( image included). While I appreciate the managers offer of taking app off and even a dessert, by the time we were done one of the most pedestrian and cold meals I've had in a hot minute, we were not in the mood for dessert. We simply wanted to pay and leave. Even getting bill settled was a prolonged event. I really hate to have to leave a review like this as I know restaurants in general face challenges in the current economy but I woke up today still ticked off and felt I had to. If the place was full, I could maybe see how slipped through but it was not remotely close to full. It was the first time at 110 Grille Worcester in almost 3 years and it...
Read moreI cannot emphasize how much my family and I LOVE this location. We request Brittany (BARBS) every single time we come here. I’ve had as little as 2 to 12 people that she’s waited on and she has been consistent and attentive every single time. Since we have met her, we’ve gone back nearly every single weekend and have chosen birthday parties to be held at this location due to service and excellence of the food and customer service. We are utterly impressed with how incredible the service and food has been seriously every time we’ve come here. No exaggeration, best service we’ve had in New England since moving here in the last 2 years from Florida.
The GM Sharon is a SWEETHEART. She is always making sure we are taken care of and she makes sure she says hi every time she sees us. She even knows us by NAME, which is impressive considering how busy this location is. She is incredibly sweet with her staff and it is obvious that she is very loved by her employees, as she totally should be. She’s hands down GREAT and truly/ genuinely cares for her customers and staff.
Taylor, their hostess, made sure that my fiancé’s surprise birthday party was organized, decorations were put up that I dropped off hours earlier, and she was incredibly attentive and personable. To be honest, probably one of the sweetest and most accommodating hostess’s I’ve ever met.
I cannot emphasize enough how appreciative we are of this location and it’s staff. 110% recommend. We are so very thankful to have met such awesome people. We now call this our regular “date night” place. As we always say, SEE YOU NEXT WEEK ;-) ( no,...
