Scathing Review of Bob Evans Restaurant #97

Our recent experience at Bob Evans #97 on 11/3 was disappointing, to say the least. We dined with family and friends, looking forward to a relaxed meal, and while the food itself was satisfactory, the service we received from our server, Tia, cast a shadow over the evening.

The restaurant appeared to be short-staffed, which is understandable, but there’s simply no excuse for Tia’s demeanor. She was consistently abrupt and dismissive, and even simple requests were met with eye-rolls and sighs. At one point, it seemed as though she was irritated that we dared to ask for anything at all. A polite attitude goes a long way, especially in a service role, and Tia’s behavior reflected a lack of basic courtesy.

We could understand a delay due to understaffing, but there’s absolutely no reason for rude treatment, especially in a family-friendly establishment. Bob Evans #97, you may need to reassess how you handle staffing and service expectations if you want...

The food that was served was cooked correctly and had quality taste, but the "special breakfast menu" was a well calculated ploy to maximize profits. The servers were told fries could be substituted for other potato products but the manager wouldn't allow the substitution, hotcakes could be served with expensive meals but couldn't be purchased as a stand-alone meal, many foods served with the meals we can't eat because of medical dietary restrictions but management wouldn't allow any substitutions, and when it was all said and done the bill for three people who do not eat very much cost almost $40.. we realize that it's the day before Thanksgiving, but if a restaurant serves the food with another dish but will not serve said item as normal and only has the most expensive meals listed and won't substitute items that are available, it's really disappointing, to say the least. Went their for breakfast and it was worthless found a HAIR on my plait - hash browns tasted like they were done in old gress also omelet had big chunks of peppers n onions took away from everything else ( we ordered two omelets and both dinners were the same chunky n hash browns gressy - and they didn't even offer me another refill on my pop they just let it go empty and with no water eather. { PLACE WAS VERY DISCUSSING and HAVE NO INTENTION WHATSOEVER on GOING BACK had too many problems with their food and there bad teast ( just thought I tell the people beside us they had problems aslo with their food order sent it back ) so good LUCK WITH YOUR FOOD ??????????
