I arrive late night around 1am and reception was waiting for me. I quickly checked in and went to the room. The room was spacious and beautiful, after a long day it’s been a pleasure to find myself here ) The shower pressure wasn’t good enough, but it’s predictable to Uzbekistan, there are few places where the pressure was excellent to me. The mattress is excellent for my back and I enjoyed the sleep. The room was facing the street where cars pass, but it didn’t bother me actually. I was impressed by the breakfast, the variety and breakfast options are getting better and better in Uzbekistan. This is the 1st place where I saw a very good eggs station (the 1st one I saw in the summer this year but it was rather poor organised). They should add more vegetables as it seemed to me there wasn’t enough and perhaps they should reduce the flour offers, there are so many of them and you hardly stop yourself )) Perhaps, pies, corn and beans could be an option. Overall, it’s a great hotel, I am really happy I stayed here and I would definitely recommend it to other if you...
Read moreThere are some really good aspects of staying at this hotel but also some big negatives.
The Good Great location, near several really good restaurants and in walking distance from the old city. large spacious room and everything is new and very clean the staff are very courteous, obliging and friendly - 5 star the breakfast is extensive with a large range of options. Everything I’ve tried so far was really good.
The Bad the beds are rock hard and very uncomfortable. We asked but all they have here are extra extra extra firm mattresses. the air conditioning is very loud, bring ear plugs. no pool or gym only one side of our king bed had a side table so had to keep my water on the floor - I drew the short straw.
The Ugly make sure you don’t get room 202. It’s right next to the elevator. When the air conditioner was on it masked the elevator noise but when we turned it off for some peace and quiet, instead we heard the constant stop and start of the elevator. Earplugs essential whichever...
Read moreNewly very well built hotel with a potential of 5 stars according to EU (!) standards, which is unexpected in Uzbekistan. Polite staff, great service. Rooms are extremely clean, nice and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
The air conditioning didn't work in our room. We then asked (but we're not offered) for another room, which was at 1am. The fan was extremely noisy, impossible to sleep without earplugs. Since that happened during the night and we had to change rooms, we asked for an extension of our stay for half a day.
The administration did not want to believe that the air conditioning didn't work at our room but functioned in the rest of the hotel.
After long discussion and proving that was the truth by pointing at the staff who helped us earlier, the request was fulfilled.
It's a pity that the hotel, which is trying hard to meet the European standards, has administration which wouldn't suggest making our stay comfortable, rather wants to...
