The Registan in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, is one of the most magnificent historical landmarks in Central Asia. It consists of three grand madrasahs — Ulugh Beg, Sher-Dor, and Tilya-Kori — each showcasing breathtaking Islamic architecture and intricate tilework that reflects the artistic brilliance of the Timurid era. The name "Registan" means "sandy place," but today it stands as a vibrant symbol of culture, learning, and power.
Walking into the Registan square feels like stepping back in time. The towering minarets, massive arched facades, and colorful mosaics captivate every visitor. The symmetry and craftsmanship of the buildings are astonishing, especially the detailed blue and gold tile patterns that shimmer under the sun. Each madrasah has a unique story and purpose, making the visit not just visually stunning, but intellectually enriching.
Registan is not only a UNESCO World Heritage site but also a cultural icon of Uzbekistan. At night, the site becomes even more magical with elegant lighting that highlights its grandeur. Whether you're a history enthusiast, architecture lover, or curious traveler, Registan will leave you in awe. It’s truly a must-see destination that embodies the rich heritage of the Silk Road and Central Asian...
Read moreWe had a wonderful one night stay in Registan Palace Hotel. The location is very close in Registan Square. You will just literally cross the road, and then you are already in Registan Square. It's very accessible to all tourist locations, there's a lot of restaurants nearby. Also, all of the people in the hotel are accommodating - they allow us to check in early and even allow us to leave our luggage after checking out. The two guys in the reception are very helpful, and Amirshoh even helped us book our taxi to railway station. He also helped us with our luggage. Thank you so much for everything 🙌 Truly recommended that you stay with this...

Also, on the last day we had to catch train early morning, he packed breakfast for us. Best thing about the hotel, its right across the Registan square. All the tourist attractions can be...
