Overall a good 3 stars rating I would say. Not bad and would stay again if we needed to, but there are much better options as well. We were very short on time to find something so grateful this place had room available for the month though.
Prices are ridiculous for nightly stay, but month stay is good. Although advertised prices are based on one person, add 1 million for extra person. This doesn’t make the most sense either as one extra person isn’t using a million worth of anything extra. Same hydro and electricity, only a little bit more water. 🤷♀️
The staff were all fairly friendly (one older house keeper was the most friendly, some others not so much). Front staff were good, nothing special and kind of depending on the day for their mood.
The rooms were clean which was great, but unfortunately even though it was a non smoking hotel, we CONSTANTLY had smoke smell coming into our room. We told multiple staff about this many times but nothing was ever done. It was super bad in the middle of the night and woke me up choking on smoke. We are non smokers and I really didn’t like feeling like I smoked a pack of cigarettes after just being in my room or sleeping overnight. We opened the windows to air pit best we could. Bit there is no way the maids couldn’t tell who was smoking unless they never went in their room, because if our room was this bad, theirs had to be worse! That’s was pretty frustrating.
Also they are very stingy with the supplies. It was like pulling teeth to get toilet paper most times, and also soap and body wash and napkins were not filled most times maids did cleaning. (We could tell when the one older lady did our room cause stuff was actually stocked properly) we had to ask for things to be filled multiple times. Also they only clean twice a week (which is fine and works for us, but they don’t tell you that if you want new towels you have to pay for them) so just warning for that.
The area was good, great location wise, but lots of construction going on across and beside building, and the walls must be very thin because you can hear EVERYTHING. Even people cough on the street from the 5th floor with window closed. Construction also starts very early in the morning here. And we did have a guest beside us sing/screaming at 3am a few times and nothing was also done about that. But luckily he checked out and it was better.
Lastly they have a microwave free for use in the lobby which was a nice plus! Oh and full size fridges in the rooms. But you were not allowed to eat down in the lobby… even though there were Tom’s of tables and chairs and napkins and the microwave… well we noticed some guests were allowed to eat there 🤷♀️ but is and some others were not… not quite sure why or about that. They did have chairs outside that we ate at a few times, and no one told us we couldn’t at least. Not...
Read moreBeautiful, big, spacious rooms, exactly as reflected on the website. Comfortable beds, beautiful views and strategically located within 5 minutes walk from/to the beach and surrounded by many restaurants (including hai san/ seafood restaurants) and convenient stores. There are also many sky bars around the vicinity. ||It’s only about 15 minutes drive from/to the airport. If you have the Grab app, use it for all your transportation needs. The vehicles are excellent and they are available very promptly.||Breakfast is very generous. The seafood noodles, garlic egg fried rice and pasta (the cream one in particular) were my favorites.||If you are staying here, connect with Jessica at concierge/reception. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. She even helped me book our tickets for the cruise on the Han River. All in all...
Read moreI was already in Da Nang, when I had to extend my stay. I was in a position to inspect 13 other Hotel rooms, which I had shortlisted before committing to a booking. The Kiwi Hotel was by far the best when it came to size, location, condition and value for money. Some of the other Hotel rooms that I inspected were tiny, dark or had no windows. The newly built Kiwi Hotel gave me everything I was looking for, massive 40 sq meters, ||daily clean with fresh towels, large windows that actually open, Net Flicks TV and minutes away from the best end of My Khe beach. Lots of choice for breakfast outside, French bakery and H coffee. The rooftop pool is great and the staff Ruby, Wendy and Dung were incredibly kind and helpful. The price of the rooms are amazing for what you get, I am definitely...
