Khong’s Vegan Kitchen – Our Favorite Vegan Meal in Da Nang!
We had the absolute best meal at Khong’s Vegan Kitchen during our time in Da Nang. Everything from the food to the service was spot-on and honestly exceeded all expectations.
We were warmly welcomed by Viy, who was incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful. She patiently walked us through the menu and helped us pick out some of their best-selling dishes—and we’re so glad she did, because everything we tried was amazing.
We ordered the chickpea curry and lentil curry, both rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. We had them with both brown rice and white rice, and everything was cooked just right. The nachos with guacamole were fresh and crunchy, and the mushroom tacos were packed with flavor—definitely one of the highlights.
To drink, we had the avocado banana smoothie, which was creamy, refreshing, and not too sweet—just perfect. We finished with a slice of their banana bread, which was soft, moist, and the perfect way to end the meal.
What we really loved about Khong’s is how fresh, healthy, and balanced everything tasted. It’s vegan food done with real care and flavor—hearty, satisfying, and comforting without ever feeling heavy.
Huge thanks again to Viy for making the experience even better with her kind and thoughtful service.
If you’re in Da Nang, don’t miss this place. It was hands down our favorite meal in the city, and we’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreService was extremely slow and they forgot one of our orders. When we came in, the waiter told us that they didn't have two of the items on the menu on the table. So I asked what they did have, he pointed to the menu outside. It's very inconvenient to have to look at a menu outside once you've already sat down, decided what you wanted to eat, and are ready to be served, to find out that the real menu is outside, and you have to physically get up to go look at it. It takes 2 minutes to physically write down your menu on a piece of paper for each table...also the menu didn't have any prices listed on it...
We ordered the chicken soup, the spaghetti, and the guac and chips. The chicken soup and spaghetti took at least 30 minutes to come out. The spaghetti tasted like baby food and had no flavor. The chicken soup was full of olive oil and had little to no seasoning. The only good thing was the vegan feta cheese on top of the spaghetti. Everything else was tasteless. I couldn't tell you how the guac and chips were because we never received them. I asked the waiter for them to cancel them, he said oh they'll be out in a minute, and then he checked with the chef who said, "I was supposed to make that?" And confirmed my cancellation.
Food was not worth the wait. Service was probably due to it being during Tet holiday, but yeah the food was no good. Never...
Read moreI had a hard time finding this restaurant the first two times I went walking in the dark. I was following Google maps and was led to a dead end. The third time I reached out by sending a message and the business replied right away. I went walking again and it led me down the same street with lots of construction! I turned around and then decided to call. The person said tell me where you are and I will come to you. I was pleasantly surprised that they came out of their way to find me and direct me in person! Please take the time to find this restaurant. It was the right area all times but We had to walk just around the corner to find it. The food was excellent. I had the summer rolls and the young mango salad and my husband had the Thai peanut stir fry. A pleasant quiet atmosphere and the service staff also spoke ver good English. All worth the wait!
It is now April 18th and Khong has a new location! The corner of An Thuong 35 and Phan Ton. It is bright and welcoming and the fresh summer rolls with Peanut Sauce never disappoint! If looking for a nice meal out and very reasonable priced come on down to Khong! Good luck in your new location! All the best...
