Anything but Paradise. ||||We stayed here during a short stop at Da Nang to get a flight up to Hanoi. The hotel is advertised as 'Panoramic and River Views from every room'. That is not the case. Out first room was tiny, so small and far too expensive for what we got. As we kept on finding cockroaches in our room having only been in the room for 5 mins and it had a lingering smell of urine we asked to move straight away.We were told this wasn't possible as the hotel was full. I then showed the woman at the front desk that on booking.com they had plenty of rooms available and we didn't mind paying a few pounds more for a bigger and nicer room . She kept saying we could not as there were no rooms available. After returning to our cockroach infested room they had simply placed the insects in the bin and after finding two more We complained again and the young man at the desk was very accommodating and switched our rooms. The woman before had just lied and obviously couldn't be bothered helping us. This hotel is far from what it advertises such as; The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis but more tidied and the standard rooms are the smallest we've ever seen! Very clean and nice rooms & everything still new. ||||We stayed 2 nights and downgraded during the second night, but there was no diference in quality between the rooms. Ask the staff to have a look at the rooms if your first choice is not available (since everything else was occupied we booked the deluxe double room with 'separate beds' but the room actually had one double bed and one single bed).||||The receptionist was a very friendly girl who didn't always understand what we tried to explain, but she helped us to rent ||an excellent motorbike. ||||There's no option for breakfast at the hotel, but Vietnamese street food and Western restaurants and bars are just around the corner.||||Great value for the price we paid. I 'm surprised there aren't more...
Read moreThe rooms are so small that you have to get a room with an extra bed to lay your luggage on the top of it. The rooms on the back are also much much less noisy than the ones in the front, but you never know which one you're getting. The shower also gets the whole bathroom wet... Toilet included... But the worse was the fact that the owner changed the price on booking after we showed her she was asking us more than what booking was showing (we arrived without a reservation, a friend was already staying at this place, and the owner took...
