One of the newest seafood restaurants in Da Nang, I was told, is the All Seasons Seafood Buffet. What is unique here is, you can have unlimited lobster (the only such place in this gorgeous beach city). This comes at a reasonable price and there are three options. All of them include unlimited seafood (other than lobster), the cheapest option. Then you can choose to add….between unlimited lobster, only one full lobster or only one half lobster. Of course I went for the first one. The lobster comes halved and you have three different preparations. Salt and chili, Butter and garlic, Wok fried with chili sauce. The last one in my opinion, is the best but I doubt it is as described. Instead, seems to me that it’s steamed and then they finish it with chili sauce in an oven. Either way, it turned out to be the best one, with the most succulent and tender meat. These are small lobsters, so I was able to put down six full lobsters in other words 12 halves !!! I also tried two preparations of langoustine. Nothing to write home about. For sides, I went with small a portion of the garlic rice and a small portion of mixed vegetables, sautéed with butter and garlic. Both of these were simple, but very good.
I finished up with the crêpe Suzette with coconut ice cream ….again clearly not a crêpe Suzette. There was no caramelized sugar, no butter, no orange or tangerine juice, or Grand Mariner or other liqueur. Instead, a very small plain dry crêpe, very badly presented. This one too needs accurate renaming. However, the accompanying coconut ice cream was creamy and superb. Service was very good. One final note on this buffet. You would expect, as you walk in, to see all the preparations in hot cases or hot trays, see nothing of that. Only a small, but comfortable seating area. They give you a menu to highlight what is available on the buffet and you order. And it is served, as many times as you wish. So while you cannot see what something looks like before you get it, I like this aspect in a way. Because it does avoid a lot of waste. Overall, I’d say that while I did eat lobster at two other places in Da Nang, this chili sauce lobster was the best by far. It’s turned out to be my only meal for the day. In closing, they need to seriously consider renaming some of their offerings. A dish must have an honest and accurate description of what goes on in the kitchen to finally reflect, what comes out of there and is presented….at the...
Read moreThe food was delicious, and the crabs were very fresh. However, there were three areas that left us feeling disappointed:
We ordered four crispy crabs and waited for half an hour, but they were never served. Later, we reordered eight crispy crabs, but only two arrived. We kindly gave those two crabs to another table, yet the rest of our order never came. Unfortunately, from the time we arrived to when we left, we didn’t get to try a single crispy crab.
We ordered two portions of flower crabs, but were later informed they were sold out. As this is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, we were puzzled as to why there would be a shortage of flower crabs.
While still dining, I left a Google review mentioning the slow service. However, I was asked to delete the review while I was still at the restaurant and was then asked to write a paper review instead. This made me feel uncomfortable providing honest feedback under those circumstances.
Conclusion: It seemed as though the restaurant might intentionally delay or limit crab dishes to control how much customers can eat. That said, the serving speed for other dishes was reasonable.
Update for January 16, 2025: The management team specially came from Da Nang to Hoi An to apologize to me and assured me that these issues will be improved. The crabs at this buffet are the freshest and most delicious I've ever had. Highly recommend everyone to...
Read moreUPDATE I disagree with management response. They only care about ratings and do dodgy things to say we'll give you 50% off ONLY if you take down the review. The response about feeling bad to comensurate is a lie. They only comensurate if you take the review down. The response from management around the reheating is not correct. It was reheated and tasted so dry. Also the other reviewer had posted 1 star and then after a day it went to 3 star. Probably due to bribery and dodgy business. They dont care about how bad the food is or changing their way but rather bribery for you to take down bad reviews. Stay AWAY from this place. Bad food. Horrible and dishonest business practice.
If you are reading this review please do yourself a favour and avoid this restaurant at all costs. It is not worth your money. Your money is better spent elsewhere with better food. The seafood and lobster were not fresh at all and tasted very dry and stale. The other dishes as part of the buffet were also not up to standard and tasted like re-heated old food. There was nothing delicious. I have been to many seafood buffets in Da Nang and All Seasons was the worse. I only wrote a review for this restaurant to warn people not to waste their money on bad food. The only good thing was the service. I would not recommend. Please avoid and consider yourself lucky if you read this review as you saved yourself $$...
