We hardly had enough space to put our luggage in a room and had to cross over it, to get to the bathroom. Even though our double room was $9.50 one does need a bit more space this time of year in the rainy Dalat. Everybody was very nice but communication was difficult because of the language barrier. Also, Viet Thanh is quite a walk (especially with the luggage), about 25 minutes up and down hilly Dalat, from the bus station near the central market. Read moreI had a large room in the rear of the hotel with great views overlooking the surrounding countryside. The owner was very friendly and set me up with one of the famous "Easy Riders" to tour the surrounding area. The hotel was clean and modern with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. My only complaint was the incessant smoking. My room was on the main level and the guests/hotel manager who hung out in the lobby area were always smoking - just down the hall from my room. Read moreWe got a room for a cheap price, $9 for a twin room so we did not expect too much. The staff were friendly enough but weren't able to clearly organise anything for us, such as buses. There was free wifi provided but neither of us could connect even with the help of the person at reception who couldn't connect it either. Didn't seem to be any other backpackers around either.
