OYO 416 Giao Thông Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

Just 1 line - Don't go!I had booked this hotel for a stay of December 28th - Jan 2nd on trip.com. Let me share my experience. 1 week before going to Hanoi, I messaged this hotel saying that I will reach the hotel around 23:00-00:00 since my Flight would land around 22:15 (I messaged through special request, since trip.com didn't have a chat option). The hotel approved my request (so I assumed that they are ok with it).I landed at Hanoi airport on 28th and came to the hotel around 23:30 in a taxi. Firstly, I couldn't locate the hotel, since they only have a very small board. After locating, I could see that the hotel was closed and was locked. Thanks to my taxi driver, he called and informed the security. The security actioned (due to language barrier) what do you want? and I showed him my reservation. He actioned this booking is fake and I was tensed. He then called the owner, who had to call a translator. I was later informed that they couldn't find my booking and couldn't give me a room. After 15-20 minutes of discussion, they finally decided to let me in and gave me a key to a room. That room I believe hadn't been used in years. It was very dirty, and maintained very poorly. Since I had no other choice, I stayed the night and went on with my itinerary the next day from early morning. Once I was back to my room in the evening of that day, I directly went to my room, but the receptionist barged into my room, snatched the key card and went back to the reception and told me not to go there and wait for a while. I was immediately tensed and had no other option but to take my luggage and move out of the hotel. I informed them that I don't need any refund or anything and immediately booked another room at a nearby hotel and stayed there for the rest of the days. It was a traumatic experience and I would highly recommend you not to visit this...

oh my god. literally only stay here if you are looking for a motel / one night stand vibe. room is giving eeks but not TOO bad if you just need a roof over your head. worst part of this place was the fact that we were stranded outside the gate at 1am. the gate was padlocked and there was no other way to enter. there was a bell to ring, which we did, multiple times (more like 100 times). i think we heard the bell going off in the security room but mans was dead asleep and didn’t hear us until we started shouting “XIN CHAO”. he walked towards us without saying a word and just stared at us. we figured he wanted some proof of us staying here and we showed him our hotel card. at this point, he has not said a single word. he unlocked the gate and we went in. first time experiencing something like this...

It was pretty good experience for me. Because they have a coffee shop upstair which run by young people of Hanoi, very nice people. Without booking this hotel, i would never knew them. The people here are warm, also if you are tourist, you need to aware that the front main door of the hotel is closed before mid night. I think which is cool somehow with proper security but the disadvantage is you can't come back hotel anytime, altought you can, it very bad feeling to wake the security guy up everytime. the price is very suitable and its on the way to High way and town, great location not so far from town and...
