Hidden Gem on Train Street 🚂✨
If you’re visiting Hanoi’s famous Train Street, Train Track Cafe is the spot you have to check out. This beautiful little gem stands out not just for its charm, but for how well they cater to their guests.
The staff are incredibly warm and attentive—they’ll let you know exactly when the trains are coming in, help you get the perfect angle for your videos, and genuinely make you feel welcome. Unlike some of the busier cafes nearby, this one is calm, cozy, and way more relaxed. You get front-row views without the crowd chaos.
The coffee? Absolutely amazing. Smooth, rich, and full of flavor—definitely one of the best I’ve had in Hanoi. Whether you’re there for the thrill of the train or just want a peaceful spot to unwind, this place nails it.
📸 Pro tip: They’re happy to help you film the train passing, so bring your camera or phone ready! 💡 Skip the overcrowded spots and come here instead—it’s a more personal, enjoyable experience.

Read moreTrain schedule attached A genuine place to watch the train whilst not being scammed with decent prices. I think you can reserve by WhatsApp but we just showed up around 8.30pm and got a table. Where we sat was where we stayed for the train. We didn’t get moved or kicked out 5 mins before the train arrives like places in the north end. Food was pretty good as well, got the spring rolls, fried noodles and rice. One girl also offered to take pictures of all of us on the tracks. When it started to rain she also had ponchos you could buy for 20k.
KEEP IN MIND - the train goes past pretty fast, listen to what they say and stay very tucked in before the train goes past. There were a few tourists who didn’t listen and stayed on the tracks and they had to get forced off by staff and shoved into the corner or they would of been hit, bearing in mind the staff could have been hit themselves. Be aware the staff risk their own safety to protect yours too so don’t be a...
Read moreWe missed the 11:30am train so we thought we'd have to wait till 3pm for the next one so we planned to just walk through train street, snap a few photos and be on our way. This lady came up to us while we were passing through and said the next train would pass by in an hour so we should have a seat, some drinks and wait. She was so sure that we agreed. But the train came in half an hour! On top of that, we saw three trains pass by during our time there. The timings aren't accurate, but the business owners there seem to know better. We were lucky we met this very nice lady, who also happens to take really nice photos too!
Look out for this place and patronise her if...
