Never written a negative hotel review before, but this one was literally the worst hotel booking of my life and I feel obliged to warn other travelers, so here's my experience:
The hotel is located a short walk from the railway station. Check-in went without issues and the reception staff was very nice and friendly. This is where the positives ended. The room was very cold (around 15 Celsius) with no heating, so had to go out and buy warm clothes to spend the night. Upon returning to the room I noticed a heavy cigarette smell inside the room. To get rid of it I had to turn on the AC ventilation, which made the temperature even worse. Around midnight a loud ruccuss wakes me up. I find a group of drunk Indian men having a loud fun and smoking right in front of my room door, making the corridor and my room absolutely filled with cigarette smoke. Upon complaining they waved me off, saying the staff told them this is the smoking area and it's not their problem.
In the morning I confrontend the receptionist (different person than the night before), who confirmed that while I booked a non-smoking room, the area in front of the room is the designated smoking area. To her credit, she tried to solve the situation by asking the Indians to smoke elsewhere. I asked for check-out and refund, since I found the situation unacceptable for an 8-day stay. She refused this, saying I have already paid, and even refused to get me in contact with the manager! Unfortunately I had to get very assertive, borderline nasty, to get this escalated to a point where they deferred me to Agoda support. With Agoda's help I was able to claim the refund and leave the same morning.
Overall I'd discourage anyone to book here, I've done a lot of traveling and as I said, this was literally the worst hotel booking of my entire life.
Finally huge thanks to Agoda support for their help in getting...
Read moreEternity Hanoi Hotel presents a mixed experience with some notable positives and a minor drawback. The comfort of the rooms is commendable, providing a cozy and inviting atmosphere for guests. However, it's essential to mention that the disruptive noise from other guests' doors slamming can be a notable inconvenience, affecting the overall tranquility of the stay.
On the brighter side, the standout feature of Eternity Hanoi Hotel is its service. The hotel staff consistently goes above and beyond, surpassing expectations with their attentiveness and dedication. Their commitment to providing exceptional service adds a considerable value to the overall guest experience, creating a positive and memorable stay.
Additionally, the hotel's strategic location near the International Center Exhibition (ICE) is a noteworthy advantage, especially for those attending events in the vicinity. This proximity enhances the convenience for business travelers or anyone keen on exploring the exhibition center.
In summary, while the occasional noise disturbance from slamming doors may be a downside, the stellar service from the hotel staff and the advantageous location near ICE contribute significantly to making Eternity Hanoi Hotel a well-rounded choice for...
Read moreI stayed here for 5 nights. I ended up having to work almost non-stop on a work project, so I was in my room a lot. Therefore, when house cleaning came each day while I was in the middle of working, I said I did not need service.
Today, when I said I did not need cleaning, the woman pushed her way in, said the room smelled, and took a video with her cell phone of the small bag of trash I had (packaging from ramen, water bottles, etc) and the hand washed exercise clothes I had hanging in the bathroom and quickly sent it to someone.
It was very violating, not to mention incredibly inappropriate for a staff member to take a video without asking permission. Again, the trash was only wrappers and packaging, and I had already told the cleaner by translation app that my exercise clothes were causing the smell and I was going to give them to laundry today. Really unpleasant experience.
Additionally, as a side note, as of March 2025, this location is horrible as going almost anywhere by foot requires squeezing through a chaotic construction alley nearby.
Really unfortunate as the room is pretty good and the front desk woman...
