We booked this place for two nights after staying at a lovely hostel near the ancient town.bstay there rather! Backhome hostel. ||Firstly I have no idea how this place has been receiving such good ratings. |It is SO far away from the ancient town, a 30 minute walk each way. |It is also disgusting! Don't let the outside fool you, the rooms themselves are tiny and dirty and the couple who run the homestay don't speak a word of English and tried to scam us.||On our first night no one greeted us at check in. We were just given a key and pointed to the direction of the room after much confusion. |The room was large and had two beds, one double and one single. The single bed had no bed sheets on it and was dirty and stained. The bathroom was a nightmare, low pressure, dirty, almost no soap.|As we looked at the double bed, we noticed the sheets were stained with orange and white stains, inside and outside. |We asked for them to be changed, only to be told that house keeping has the sheets and they can only change one of them, the bottom or top. We were also told we would have to change rooms in the morning as they have overbooked their homestay and put us in the more expensive room but won't charge us more for it. Weird seeing as no one mentioned this at check in. ||The next day they changed our rooms while we were out, and told us they would put our two packed backpacks in the new room. Upon coming back, we saw our bags just thrown on the stairs for us to deal with, completely out for everyone in the guesthouse to look at. |Our "new" room was smaller, dirtier and worse than the first. Once again, the sheets were dirty. ||On the final day of check out, they tried to charge us a higher price than was on our booking as they claimed that we spent the night in the more expensive room on the first night, even though we were not given another option, or booked that room and it was their own fault they overbooked their homestay. We refused and ended up paying the price we first settled on after much confusion and phone calls to God knows who on their behalf.||All in, a horrific end to our stay in Hoi an. I don't recommend anyone go through the stress and unpleasantness we had to. ||Even the drinking water wasn't free which it is...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed here for 6 days in August.|The first thing I will say about Green Grass is that it looks a lot nicer in the photos. It wasn't super clean when we arrived, there was no electric kettle as stated, and the minifridge (which had only a half empty bottle of water in it) was really only semi-cold. |The room was basic, but it was a decent size, and had working airconditioning which was great. |The bathroom was a bit on the off side - the shower head had come away from the wall so you had to hold it, and again it didn't feel too clean.|In terms of service - the family who run it seemed nice, but they were a bit hard to track down if you needed anything. |Overall, for the price we paid, I wouldn't expect much more than what we recieved. In terms of location, it was a bit more out of the way, but still only a 20 minute walk to the old town, and plenty of essentials nearby. |If you are looking for budget, no-frills accomodation then this...
Read moreI've been in Hoi An twice and I stayed at Green Grass Homestay both times.||I really like the family! They are very kind and pleasant and make you feel very comfortable.||You can also rent a motorbike with them at a really fair price.||They will also give you any tips or advice you may need or request regarding Hoi An or the surroundings.||The place is comfortable and the price is very fair for the accommodation you get. I'm definitely planning to go back and stay with them again! I would say this is the top Homestay to stay in Hoi An! It is both perfect for a short trip or a long one. I've stayed there for two months and had a wonderful experience.||Hoi An in general is very noisy. This area is no exception, although it is not as crowded as other...
