Papa Villa homestay — Hotel in Hội An

We absolutely loved our stay here and were very sad to leave.

Firstly and most importantly, Mrs. Bong and her family are so friendly and kind. They helped us so much during our stay with recommendations on what to see and where to eat. Bong honestly wants you to have the most amazing experience in Hoi An and will only recommend the best places. We thoroughly enjoyed everything she recommended. Bong also helped us organise onward transport to Ninh Binh which was greatly appreciated.

The homestay was spotlessly clean and comfortable. When you walk in you instantly feel at home! The bedroom and bathroom was spacious, clean, comfortable and smelled great! Warm showers, fresh towels and bed linen also available on request. Such amazing value for money. Bong also treated us to some homemade noodles and coconut before our night bus which was delicious!

The homestay is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood about 15-20 minutes walk into old town.

We originally booked to stay for 3 nights but extended our stay to 5 nights because we loved it so much here. I highly recommend anyone visiting Hoi An to stay here.

We arrived here after creating a booking via our credit card travel portal. Which books for us via companies such as booking.com and Expedia. Upon arrival we were told that there is no room for us and that they did not have a reservation for us. The gentlemen showed me his booking portal where it seems he saves reservations; however he was reluctant to show me his email where the booking notifications tend to come through for 3rd party booking services. (We know this from our past hosts who have had accidental double bookings etc.) We contacted our credit card holder and was told that the booking reservation was confirmed and it was up to the homestay to reimburse the $30 charge for the nightly stay. We did not receive a refund. I will be disputing the charge further with my credit...

The room was spacious. The room and the bathroom were clean. They provided us with all the toiletries. Towels were provided and so was an extra blanket on request. There was a manual fan in the room which was very much required for the hot weather in June. There’s a balcony too and the room gets plenty of sunlight. There was absolutely no issue with the room. The wifi worked just fine. They provided us a scooter for rent at 150,000 VND per day without a security deposit and also arranged our cab to Danang airport.
