The best hotel/homestay we ever stayed! Me, my boyfriend and my friend were intending to spend two days in Hoi An and ended up staying a week. Not only Hoi An is a lovely city but the owners of this Homestay are the sweetest couple, it felt like our grandparents home! The location is great, close enough to Old Town so you can get there by a 5 minutes walk, far enough from it so you can have a quiet and comfortable place at all times. The accommodation is modern and clean, they actually have a nice and hot shower with a blindex (a luxury that we didn't have staying in others Vietnamese hotels with the same price rate), beds are comfy, everything was wonderful. Also, besides the tasteful and free breakfast (usually served by a really nice girl, owner's niece) they would always bring some water and fruits in our room every day. Nothing was a problem for them, they are all smiling at all times. It's nice to mention that it's a pretty new homestay, so the owners still struggle a bit with English, but they are evidently trying their hardest to learn fast and it wasn't a problem at all as we could communicate well with their niece. This same effort was always in evidence when it comes to make us as comfortable as they could: from going out to buy fresh and hot bread for our breakfast to giving me tea and medicine when I was feeling sick. Finally, to complete this amazing experience we were invited for a family celebration to say goodbye for the old year (before Tet, the lunar new year) with an amazing feast and a lot of beers (all for free). Really, I don't know why you didn't booked your stay...

The listing says that theres wifi in all rooms. However it is only available in the family's saloon, NOT in the room.||2. THE ROOM HAS NO DOOR. It's a curtain that blocks the light from the house's garden.||3. No body soap or shampoo.||4. The room description features a hair dryer, but there is none.||5. Also it lacks an iron.||6. Additionally even though the listing in agoda suggests that there is an included breakfast, the owner told us that there is none.||When I approched the owner told me that the hotel is fully booked, so she can't move us to another (none-smelly and with a window) Room, because the hotel is fully booked. But I was able to see many of the rooms as available on all booking sites and we haven't seen any other guest. | |Just don't do it to yourself. Hoi an is full with great...
Read moreVery well situated about 5 mins walk outside of the old town and right opposite a 5 star hotel. I can honestly say that I don't believe that I would have received better service across the road from the Heritage Homestay - our stay was perfect.||||From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. Checked in with the minimal of fuss. The lady on reception said that there were a number of things that she could recommend if we wanted and to just ask.||||Laundry was duly sorted immediately next door (I believe that it is all linked) and we settled in for a comfortable stay.||||The hotel (it wasn't a homestay) brought us bottles of water and fruit (bananas & mangoes) and cakes every day - nothing was too much trouble.||||Breakfast was delicious with a choice from the menu and fresh bread, butter and jam.||||Pound for pound, I would rate this as the best place that we've stayed on our trip throughout India and SE Asia -...
