Love the place ! It’s such a quiet heaven as there are very few if any motorbikes around, so you can walk the streets and enjoy an easy stroll without fearing for your life or you ears. There is a friendly, easy atmosphere. Do not buy anything without a lot of haggling. We found that prices went down to three times the asking amount when negotiating properly. Keep it fun and friendly though. No need to bully anyone like we’ve seen some people do) and it won’t take you anywhere anyway. If a merchant is in a bad mood or refuses to negotiate, move on. You’ll find the exact same article a couple of doors down anyway. We were surprised by the quality of the clothing and other items on offer here. Look for the small seamstress shops who can really put together some very nice clothes to your measurements and requirements overnight. Food wise, the street food market has got quite a few gems of local specialties. Grannies still prepare old family recipes that have been perfected over generations.
