Botanist Lab by CIRCADIAN — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I was a fan of this airbnb since 2019 and that’s why I comeback to book the airbnb again for my solo trip. Back to 2019, everything was very clean and their decoration was very aesthetically. Plus, because I traveled with a friend, so my room was bigger with a nice view, also the guests here were very friendly as well.

Sadly for 2023, because I traveled solo, so my room is very small and dark, I hope they can design the lights again to make the room look brighter. Guests this year are very rude and loudly, I can’t blame on the owner team because they can’t choose their guests, but if you want to look for a nice quiet and private airbnb, I don’t recommend this one.

Otherwise, the owner team is very responsive and nice. However, when I asked the team to comeback to help me carrying my luggages, I heard the guy mumbled to himself “it’s so annoying!” in Vietnamese, and sadly I understood Vietnamese but I didn’t call him out.

Grab also can’t find this location well except if they have experience in this area, otherwise u need to guide them and one of the alley gate will close after 9pm.

I have more things to say but I don’t wanna call them out too much and because they fixed problems pretty fast as well, so 3/5 stars will be my last decision. It’s more about I don’t feel comfortable because other reasons too, and I know the team tried their best.

Comparing to 2019, 2023 is my bad experience for this place and I regret so much when I didn’t stick to my other airbnb longer but wanna move to this one. I don’t think I wanna comeback here in the next vacay. I appreciate how responsive the team is, but I’m so disappointed for my staying and never feel sad this...

Well it's come to this. I do not recommend this place for reasons that are personal and even on a professional level.

Personally speaking, the rooms are dark, small, and not as clean as they advertise. There are much better options in this area.

Professionally speaking, this was booked through Airbnb and they will absolutely take the host side if you have any issues surrounding your stay. For example, the bed sheets are made of a very thin nylon where any heat could alter or burn a hole through it. I used the community iron from the hallway that was without an ironing board. Not realizing the three little holes swelled up from the quick heat of the iron has now cost me $52. This charge is assuming a full bed set not one sheet but all of the sheets.

Oh and whatever you do, as nice as you can be towards the host on finding a fair resolution, they will leverage Airbnb every single time rather than being humans about it and thinking more in terms of customer service. Sadly, customer service is so far at the bottom of the hospitality industry here in the Airbnb tier that you're better off booking a 2 star hotel. At least you'll get...

I have an amazing stay at Botanist Lab by Circadian. I booked the room with a sofa lounge and it's super pretty! Spacious with two double bed with our own toilet. The main highlight of the room has to be the projector and the sofa lounge area. It's so cozy and nice that almost 2/3 of my night are spending watching movies and dozing off at the sofa lounge instead of on the bed.

The only small point is that although it is in District 1, but it's not really in the city centre but it's no big deal as a Grabcar or Grabbike can easily take you to where you want to go in District 1 under 15mins.

The staff is amazing. In all of the different hotels and Airbnb I stayed, the team of Guest Relations Officer here is so professional and attentive. They took real good care of me and attended to all my request that I have before, during and after my stay with them. Really thumbs up to Alex, she was so patient with me and assisted me even after working hour just to ensure that I am taken care of and not leave hanging.

Totally recommend this to everyone. Definitely will stay here again if I ever come...
