For all people thinking of going to this hotel read this
I have stayed (or tried to you will see after), at the cabana hotel saigon this weekend, and the hotel is a very well organized scam me list here below how it works, please also note that I have contacted the property by mail, phone and a lot of visits to the reception to no avail so booking is my last resort: First of all I arrived to the said location and then they told me the hotel was full ( even if they had my reservation), so they proposed me a room in another hotel with the same exact name a bit further. After discussing with various customer I discovered that everyone was told the same, I supposed that as the original hotel has better reviews they use it as a way to lure customer and then send everyone that does not fit in the first one in the second one. Then as I told them that I did not accept that solution I asked for a waiving of cancellation fee as they are not providing the service they sold, they refused and then I was forced to stay at the other hotel because I had no other options. Then I discovered that the photos in the website are fake, even not photoshoped but simply non existent the room they show simply don't exist, again when I saw that I asked for a refund ( because they forced me to pay in full and in addition to that they charged for paying by card even if nothing is said in the booking website). I have taken all the photos to prove that. The they CANCELLED the booking saying I did not stay at the hotel, which is a lie I have the original receipt to prove it, remember that they force everyone to go to the other hotel without any other choice. They do this for two reasons; that I cannot comment on how bad the hotel is compare to the price and facilities, and also so they will be able to get the money of the cancellation fee. Then you will have also to check the comment as the majority of them are fake, a lot of comment at the value of 10 are given to try to scam the tourists, you will also find some comments equal to this message that managed to pass through the scam and try to warn the other tourists about this scam.
And finally the breakfast is terrible but hat can you expect after the rest, and the electricity is cut every like 2 hours during the night.
be careful and never go...
Read moreThe Cabana Hotel at 47A Nguyen Trai in Ho Chi Minh City offers a budget-friendly accommodation option for families and travelers. Our family of 6 was accommodated in a room with a king-sized bed and a queen-sized bed, which cost around $38 per night. Despite the affordable price, the staff at the Cabana Hotel were all pleasant, with a special mention for the room service lady who went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay.
However, the air conditioning system in the room was quite outdated, which impacted the overall comfort level during our stay. We had to switch rooms to find relief from the heat, but this was quickly resolved by the accommodating staff. The hotel also provided a small box of condoms, which was a thoughtful touch, although it also elicited a bit of amusement from us.
The Cabana Hotel is located in a convenient location, particularly during the Lunar New Year celebrations. The hotel was within walking distance to a park that was selling New Year flowers and street food, making it easy for us to participate in some of the activities. Overall, while the Cabana Hotel may have some shortcomings, it offers good value for money, making it a decent option for those looking for budget-friendly accommodations in Ho Chi Minh City. I would rate...
Read moreMy one-night stay was incredibly disappointing. Despite paying to upgrade my room to a Superior King, there was barely any difference from a regular room with street views. Everything about the room felt old and worn out, from the air-conditioning and lighting fixtures to the furniture. There was nothing that stood out positively, and to make matters worse, this was the first 3-star hotel I've stayed in that didn't even provide complimentary bottled water. It seemed like they were pinching every penny they could.
On the bright side, there were a few good aspects: the room was quiet, had nice views, the air-conditioning worked quietly, and the water pressure in the shower was strong and fast.
However, the negatives outweighed the positives. The room came at an additional cost despite being small, it was outdated and dirty, the windows were filthy, and the bed sheets were not clean. Moreover, they didn't offer free complimentary bottled water and didn't provide free overnight motorbike parking.
To sum it up, my experience at this 3-star hotel with an upgraded room (priced at 500k/night or $21 USD) fell far short of my expectations. Although it was an experience, it certainly won't be my go-to...
