If you're in Ho Chi Minh City and craving a delicious vegan banh mi, look no further than Bang Mi Xanh. This charming little shop serves up some of the best banh mi sandwiches I’ve ever had. The flavors are amazing—each bite is packed with fresh, vibrant ingredients that create a perfect balance of savory and tangy.
The sandwich is wonderfully juicy, with perfectly marinated tofu and an assortment of crisp vegetables. It’s a delightful option for anyone, regardless of dietary preference.
Pairing the banh mi with their jasmine lavender iced tea was a highlight; the fragrant tea perfectly complemented the meal. Enjoying it all while watching the bustling street life added to the experience, making it a perfect breakfast spot.
Overall, Bang Mi Xanh is a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for a satisfying and flavorful vegan option....
Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited this gem for their vegetarian/vegan bánh mì, and it was absolutely delightful. The baguette was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, filled with firm tofu—and topped with an umami-rich mushroom pâté that added incredible depth (like in the best plant-based versions elsewhere) . The pickled carrots, daikon, cucumber and fresh herbs were bright, crunchy, and perfectly balanced.
The service was warm and welcoming—truly kind-hearted people who clearly care about both their food and their guests. They made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and were happy to answer questions about ingredients and vegan options. The atmosphere felt genuine and relaxed.
This bánh mì is a standout for anyone seeking a flavorful, ethical, and satisfying sandwich—whether you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just a fan of fresh, well-crafted food. Highly recommend giving them a try—you...

I got back home, and you can see a clear difference in size between here and Huynh Hoa. I took a couple bites but saved the rest for later. Either I could taste peanut butter, or I made it up in my mind. Other than that, I ate the entire sandwich, and it wasn't bad. If it didn't have the PB, I probably would have really liked it.
I know it's vegan, so it couldn't have it, but if it was minus the PB and had a couple of fried eggs on it, I think I would...
