I must say, out of the countless hostels and hotels I’ve stayed at during my travels, Language Exchange Hotel 3 truly stands out as the best of the best. Its location is perfect tucked inside a semi-residential area that feels authentic and welcoming, with one of the best 24/7 coffee shops right across the street. What really made my stay unforgettable was the incredible atmosphere. The backpacker vibe was just right, bringing together fellow guests from different nationalities who bonded naturally and created a sense of community. A huge part of this comes down to the staff especially Tommy Huynh, the receptionist, who feels more like a big brother than hotel staff. His kindness, wisdom, and life lessons made my stay so much richer. I was also lucky to meet amazing people like my friend Landry Doua, who added to the warmth of my experience. And then there’s the owner, one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. The way she treats guests like family rather than customers is something truly rare. I originally planned to stay for just a couple of days but ended up extending my stay by three more because I simply couldn’t leave. When it was finally time to go, I felt an emotional attachment I’ve never experienced with any other hotel. The location is spot-on, with easy access to Ben Thanh Market, Bui Vien Walking Street, nearby parks, and plenty of friendly locals who made me feel at home in Saigon. Without a doubt, I’ll be staying here every time I visit Saigon. This place isn’t just a hotel it’s a home full of memories, friendships, and...
Read moreIn a sea of increasingly strange hostel experiences, this one can only be described as a “paid psycho ward.” Abusive, shifty, what appears to be leprosy and outright lying to guests. ||||As has become normal, the property is stalked by an angry, sneering and ridiculously territorial elder cleaning woman. ||||We then get to the kitchen facilities fiasco — which irrespective of what may be defined on any website, is known, as it should, to be used by hungry travelers. ||||It began with two people, including an employee demonstrating the space, followed by you’re not allowed, only for noodles, to…you can’t even use the rice cooker. ||||From no refrigerator available…to spotting a secondary refrigerator with actual guest directions taped on the front!? ||||And all this when I brought/bought produce based on a previous visit’s experience. Sinister. ||||I literally ran for my life at 5:00 pm to escape this weirdo madness, sacrificing my reservation. Would rather sleep on the street than be treated like this.||||On one hand, what can one expect from a $4/nt place, on the other…visit and you may be scarred for life. Absolutely horrible. 😡 ||||*see “staff only” kitchen pics attached in a nearly...
Read morein terms of respect for customers, I have rarely seen that! first night the dormitory lights come on at midnight to welcome a new client! On several occasions I had to explain to people that there were several sleeping here and that we had to respect them because many got up early! the next day the same thing but these are employers who open the lights in the dormitory during the night to put things away and welcome customers into the dormitory! I had to go down to reception to tell them that it's been two nights since this happened and that I'm tired! in addition there are rules to display in the room to turn off the lights at 11 p.m. but even using them does not respect it! sorry but if you want to sleep well don't come to the dormitory, there is no respect here! I pay to sleep, not to be in a dormitory with the lights on! moreover the place is not very clean, dust and waste everywhere in the room, very dirty bathroom, stain on the sheets and yellow slides on the walls! avoid...
