First, most building near Ben Tanh Market has stairs to enter the lobby. Also for this hotel. The stairs not slippery but they dont have access for wheelchair (i didnt know if they have one through the other way?). The architecture from outside was average, they have a vietnamese ethnic interior lobby which good, however it have a dim light. The elevator was fine. At first, they give me the room at the back view, eventho it has window but for me the air circulation was not really good for the first impression, in addition, the ac was not worked. They gave me other room which has the window viewed to the main street. Overall the room was fine, spacious for 2 people with 2 medium luggage, has refrigerator, hairdryer, amminities, tea & coffe, all clean and the air con works properly (and very cold which good!), the down side was the bathroom floor that slippery. Believe it would be helpfull if they improve on the bathroom floor to avoid bad thing happens. For the breakfast, they have a different menus each day. Its a pros since they also provide vietnamese menus everyday along with bread if you find needs on western bfast. also they have indoor and oudoor bfast area which the outdoor has a city/building view. Not to mention the location was very near to Ben Tanh Market. There are park near the hotel, local people usually workout (i stayed 4D3N in early october, and come to explore the park), If you find walking was fun, you could alao walk to Post Office and Cathedral (in the same neigborhood). Or else, you could also walk to Little Hanoi, the famous hidden gem! If you would like to eat vietnamese food, the hotel also near the local restaurant (exactly at the front of hotel! But they closed on sunday). Other walking distance area is takashimaya (at least for me). Overall the pros was great location, cleanliness, the service which was good (to provide another room and also helpfull staff that help me to check out early in the morning). I will recommend the hotel for young people with tight budget. Backpaper also could find this hotel great. For elderly, it would be fine if they provide lift at the front and improve the...
Read moreIf I can give -0 (minus 0) rating I will. That's what this hotel deserve. On our arrival the lady on the reception wasn't friendly at all. Room 501 disaster. Lighting not strong enough. Wall paper dirty and pilings off, patchings with another colour of wall paper that look terrible. Smaller window has view to next door building wall with about 10 cm gup between wyndow and the wall. Water leaks into the room and 1/2 sqm black mould forming for at least last half year. Another wyndow a bit bigger looks like frosted glass but actually it is dirt and water stain formed on outside wyndow glass. Bathroom OMG. Dirty, smells on moulds. Dirt around hand basin edg and rust on basin discharge point. Bathroom floor wynil tiles dirty damaged, moulded. Toilet bowl dirty full of water/dirt stain. Exhaust fan to noisy and light flickering. Spa bath have been repainted before and now paint pills off and full of dirt that could not be cleaned. Bathroom wynil curtains starts moulding and looks never cleaned before. Hotel advertisements rooms was with botled water, tea and coffee, offers breakfast but actually nothing true. Just plain rooms. We ask for another room and next day we moved to the level 3 room 301. Not much difference even worst. Hotel corridors or hallway looks like never cleaned full of finger/hand prints and durt. Hotel it's self is in urgent need of huge renovation or total closure. We stayed for 3 days there, linen or towels wasn't changed at all. Perfect condition for customers to catch mould bacteria or other illnesses. Where are they?,, and how often health and safety inspections are done on hospitality venues??????? and hotel like this one. Tourist agencies like Agoda (I booked trough) should check ✅️ confidentiality of the hotel actual statement before advertising. I am feeling sorry for writing this review while I know that Covid 19 effected a lot especially hospitality sector around the globe but that was a chance to use the time for renovations and maintenance. In this case just bad luck for...
Read moreI booked a deluxe twin room for 3days. On arrival the receptionist informed me that they had upgraded to a triple as it was bigger. ||The photos on Booking.com - clearly have been edited as the place looks very old and worn down. Clearly needs updating. ||On getting to the room, there was a clear smell of dampness. On investigating found a large damp patch in the ensuite. ||Unhappy, that the hotel was actually letting this room out, i complained, regard to health & safety. ||They then escorted us to the 10th floor, where it was obvious, guest rarely used, as we were questioned why we were now being allocated one of these rooms. (they are just for show). ??||within the corridor there were loose wires hanging from the ceiling and a wifi router hanging don like a light. If i was a few inches taller, it would block my path. ||They stated on the coffee making equipment would be in the room. There was none, and the kettle, actually had the wrong type of plug on it- so clearly had never been used. ||The shower was constantly cold and would overflow as the drain plug was blocked. I tried several times to adjust this yet. the water just found its way to the corner of the bathroom and leaked through cracked tiles. ||The site also stated a safe/fridge would be in the room, the safe was rusted up and there wasn't a fridge. ||The fixtures and fitting throughout the entire place need updating. ||I have never written a negative review in my life as I have served in the Army, I can honestly say, this is the worse place I have ever stayed. ||I am aware Covid has effected people life styles and income yet due to the dire state this place is a health hazard. ||As regards to the breakfast, stay well clear of this, and the kitchen which is on the 11th floor. The standard is well below par and the coffee is warmed up from the day before. There is no toaster, (which i could have lived with) - and the choices available are limited and I would have to question...
