Saw the many good reviews on google and decided to give this a try. Was not as good and as authentic as the reviews show.
Firstly, the sashimi were pre-cut and they just take out the slices when u order. Five slices of sashimi that are half the height of normal sashimi cuts. They have the thickness and length but the height is literally half of what u get usually. Though the taste and texture for the sashimi was alright.
Secondly, the tempura batter's flavour just tastes off and so does the dipping sauce. I had a hard time trying to finish the platter of prawn tempura.
Thirdly, i ordered the unagi sushi and the price was expensive considering the portion of it. I could get a unagi don in a random place in Japantown for that price.
Fourth, there wasnt anyone walking around to see if ur hot green tea cup is empty and refills it for u. I would expect at least that level of service in a Japanese dining.
Lastly, I should have known that something was wrong when there were no Japanese customers and most customers there were Caucasians. Always avoid Japanese dining where the Japanese do...
Read moreMy wife was so happy to visit this place. Affordable price, well trained staff and happy to see how guests around were happy to have dinner here.

When I reserved a table then I got a very warmful note that "we are looking forward to seeing you." (It actually didn't translate that way but I can not find proper English term for it) tells how Japanese manager showed his sincere hospitality.
I will definetly...
Read moreDecent place for sushi and Japanese food. A pleasant surprise and great find here is the hitsumabushi that is rarely served in Vietnam and normally not with the same standard as in Japan, where we first discovered and fell in love with the dish. Generally it will only be available at unagi / eel specialized places in Japan but we are happy to find it here together with other sushi and sashimi dishes. This dish is available here, with the right ingredients and presentation - some other places in Vietnam doesn’t even have sliced spring onion with this dish 🙄 The fishes here are fresh and imported from Toyosu, the fish market market from Tokyo, which means better grade from some other fish and seafood served at some other Japanese restaurants in Vietnam. Lovely decoration with distinctive concept. Highly...
