We enjoyed our stay at the Hue Garden Villa Hotel. We were looking for a property in Hue with a pool. They are few and far between. The Hue Garden Villa Hotel is down an alley off the main strip. It is very close to the Perfume River and The Citadel. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. The front desk staff were very helpful in arranging a boat tour for us, an airport transfer, and a ride from Hue to Hoi An with stops along the way. The breakfast was off a menu, as opposed to a buffet. You could have as much food as you wanted. The menu seemed varied. We were on the second floor, and while we did not have a good view - I do not tend to sit around in a hotel room looking out the window, so this was not a problem for me. The room was spacious, clean and the mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was modern, and the shower worked well. We spent some time in the pool every day. The pool needs some work, but it seemed pretty clean - the liner is green as opposed to blue like most pools, so it didn't look as nice as it could have. The people at the hotel were very friendly. Read moreGreat staff and a lovely room with a great little patio. A great location overall, the driver Ha that the staff helped us with was great and took us to 4 attractions in over a half day for only 30usd. The room was spacious and well stocked. Like 80% of where we have stayed in Vietnam, the hot water was glitchy and brief. Also like most places in Vietnam we have stayed regardless of the quality or rate, you will see rats. Keep those balcony doors closed when not in use.
Just one more little thing: the credenza table thing where the TV is had tons of teeny little ants that were curious about our belongings. We have also seen these in Thailand and other places in Vietnam and they do not bite or even seem to want to eat foods. But they did go through our stuff. We mentioned to the front desk and they did say sorry but it did not seem like they took any other action which is fine by us as we don't want to kill harmless insects anyway.
For vegans, breakfast included fruit, bread, jam, coffee, juice, and delicious garlic fried rice! Lovely owners...
Read moreReally good location, on a back street so even though it's in the middle of the main streets it's really quiet! Pool was nice, bit cold for me but my boyfriend loved it after a hot day sightseeing. Room was ok, bed was really firm for me so I had a hit of a back ache. The room we had had a bath was I was super excited about even though it's one of those miniature baths where you have to have tour knees bent. But sadly the plug was broken, and the reception staff just shrugged. We did a DIY using a glass so we could actually have a bath, but it wasnt great. Room was ok, strange green lights! Breakfast was alright, very egg heavy. Had our laundry done whilst we were here, handed it in late morning and it was done by the evening and smelt lovely and was nice and soft. Would recommend...
