Avoid at all costs (avoid Vietnam). Overpriced and broken. Operates under subletting arrangement with luxury hotel at the front leasing out certain floors and it's a dump. when I checked in reception asked to keep my passport. Australian passport perhaps worth more than their hotel (pun intended). To my surprise the receptionist assured that my passport will be kept in the safe and as she was saying that she dropped my passport on her desk and asked me to follow her wanting to show me my room. I asked her that my passport is being left unprotected on her desk and demanded her to return it to me. I told her that I have traveled across the world and stayed in numerous hotels, none asked to keep your passport. She smiled at me and said, "this is normal in Vietnam". Despite her meaningless verbal assurances, I refused to let her hold my passport but she insisted that she requires an identity card from me, so I took back my passport and gave her my driver's license. Obviously my driver's license had some value in Vietnam but if lost, it can easily be replaced. Stupidity knows no borders and when one decides to make stupid decisions, your assets get hammered. This place has 11 lifts, 3 of which are given to the other brands. Because of their lower prices they operate at full speed and gosh, aren't they hammering it. The lifts are over-worked and constantly being pushed to their limits. I'm surprised no one has died in those lifts, or may be it has and we don't know about it. If you want to use the swimming pool you need to pay additional...
Read moreWe stayed in a one bedroom apartment and although the room was ok but it’s the little things that made this stay so bad.||The Staff are friendly but unhelpful. The hotel advertises that it has a pool but actually it doesn’t and if you want to swim in a pool you are instructed to go to the hotel next door and pay to use theirs (the staff tell you this when you ask where the pool is). There is also no restaurant – that too is located at the hotel next door. ||I got a tiny amount of tanning foam on my one towel in the room and I had to pay for the towel because apparently the staff here don’t know how to use a washing machine. If I didn’t pay the reception staff were not going to give me my driver’s license back which they hold at reception during your stay (oh and ‘misplaced’ it).||If you like to sleep at night this is not the place for you. We stayed in a room not far from the reception and the staff are always talking super loudly and the sound carries right the way down the corridors and keep you awake at all hours of the day particularly early in the morning. ||The only thing this “hotel” has going for view was the location and amazing view from the balcony (If you are lucky enough to get a room to face the ocean).||I stayed in other places in Vietnam and paid less and received much better service. I do not...
Read moreWe stayed there two nights, was really hoping to give this place a nice review.||However and sadly this is not the case, the room was nice but thats about it. Im the bathroom there is the outlet from the aircon so the floor around the toilet is wet most of the time, cold easy be fixed with a hose, there was also some broken and dirty furniture. Nice there is a cooker and washing machine but all menus and buttons are in Vietnamese so a guessing game to make it work. We booked 1 night online and was expecting the same price for additional days this was also not the case, in the evening the staff called the manager and confirmed we could stay longer at the same price but in the morning thy refused and put the price up. The hotel also wanted to keep my passport, I refused that and they accepted my Hong Kong driving license thats not a valid ID. There was lots of arguing going on at the reception with some Asian customers screaming loudly so we guess they were also not happy about the service, we met 2 westerners that was complaining that someone had been sleeping in their room and bed linnen was not changed. Also very noisy. This hotel could be great but it seems the owner dont care as most people only stay here once. No we will never come back here and will not...
